Movie Artists Association (MAA) has expressed deep condolences and mourns the death of iconic actor and two times National Award for Best Actor Winner, Om PuriHe passed away yesterday in Mumbai suffering from a cardiac arrest. Rajendra Prasad and Shivaji Raja expressed condolences on behalf of film fraternity.
The legendary actor made his debut in movies in 1976 with a Marathi film. He would then go on to act in some seminal movies of Hindi parallel cinema in the eighties. Om Puri also acted in a Telugu movie named Ankuram. Among his last few roles is the upcoming film of actor Rana, Ghazi. May his soul rest in peace.
