How Nani saved his sister-in-law from Shiva concludes the story.
Nani who is known for boy-next-door looks is a perfect fit as 'Middle Class Abbayi'. Be the love scenes with Sai Pallavi in first half and emotionally charged action scenes in second half, Nani shines throughout the film. Nani shouldered entire film with ease and his screen presence.
Apart from Nani, Bhumika gets a meaty role in this film. She did the role of strict vadina to Nani and a honest, courageous government officer. Scenes between her and nani in first half evokes laughs. She played her role dignifiedly. Sai Pallavi played the role of Nani's love interest and she gave her best. Her chemistry with Nani in Love scenes are a treat to watch. She made love scenes work big time with her charm and screen presence. Her moves in a couple of songs are praiseworthy. Though she didn't get much screen time in second half, Sai Pallavi made her presence felt and scored well in her role.
Among others Vijay did a commendable job as a typical villain who doesn't want to fail at any cost. He is a good find. He looks different than most of the villains we often see in our films. With more strong characterisation, his debut as villain would have a memorable one. Others like Rajeev Kanakala, Naresh, Aamani, Priyadarshi are adequate in their roles.
Nani Nani-Sai Pallavi chemistry Scenes between Nani - Bhumika First Half
Predictable Second Half
Director Venu Sriram came up with adequate content to score big. Nani as an unemployed middle class guy, Sai Pallavi as his love interest, Bhumika as a strict vadina...These characters will get us connect to the film right from the start. Though there's not much story in first half, chemistry between Nani and Sai Pallavi, Scenes showing friction between Nani and Bhumika made things work in favor of the film. This entire part is more like a fun ride, what we exactly expect from this film. Things take a turn when Villain vows to kill Bhumika and Nani challenges that he will save her from him. Things gets predictable from here on till the last fifteen minutes. Director manages to engage audiences during the climax.Despite glitches in second half Nani's appealing act, Nani - Sai Pallavi's chemistry made 'MCA' a good watch.
Devi Sri Prasad's BGM & Music is okay with a couple of catchy tunes,'Kotthaga','Yevandoi Nani garu'. Cinematography by Sameer Reddy is one of the highlights. He captured and showcased locales of Warangal, Lakkavaram beautifully. Production Values by Dil Raju are up to his standards. Film looks authentic as most of the film was shot in real locations around Warangal.
Bottom-Line : Decent Entertainer Rating : 3/5
