Vijay Deverakonda is terrific in a new role given to him. He shows a different attitude and body language for the character of Govind. Right from the first frame he draws us into the proceedings through the acting and leaves us mighty satisfied by the time we come out of cinemas.
Rashmika Mandanna is equally impressive in her role. She gets an equal footing, and her combination with Vijay Deverakonda works like magic. They have electrifying chemistry together.
Subbaraj gets another lovely character. One will fall in love with it by the end of the movie for sure. Rahul Ramakrishna and Vennela Kishore are hilarious in their roles. Nagababu, Giribabu, and Annapurnamma are dependable as usual. The rest of the cast is fine for their parts.

Music And Background Score
Slightly drags in the second half
Parasuram started with a promising Yuvatha and then later turned into mass stuff with Anjaneyulu. However, later he found a niche sticking to family entertainers with a unique brand of comedy. It has been working well for him, but somehow a universal blockbuster didn’t happen. Finally, with Geetha Govindam it looks like he is going to get one.
Geetha Govindam is again in the same zone as some of Parasuram’s best films. It is more youth-oriented in characters and presentation. The comedy is also presented according to the current tastes. These minor adjustments along with perfect casting and music have done wonders for the romantic entertainer.
There is a drag in between, but the movie never veers into an intolerable territory. The fun moments always keep coming. There is a proper base set up in the first half, and that keeps things within safe region even during the dragging parts in the second half. When seen in totality, the first half is perfect and breezy for a rom-com. The second half wobbles a bit but is on track for an engaging last half an hour.
The climax gets the emotion and comedy mix delightfully right, and one leaves the halls with a smile on their faces. Eventually what matters is Geetha Govindam is a winner.
Gopi Sundar’s music and background score is a lifeline to the movie. Inkem Inkem Kavale needs no introduction, but the other songs too are nice and well shot. Manikandan’s cinematography is excellent. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is neat. The production values of GA2 are superb. Producer Bunny Vaas maintained high standards in the making.
Bottom-line: Lovable Pair's Lovely Rom-Com
