Gandeevadhari Arjuna draws the attention of the audiences with its stylish content. The slick action in promos and trailer promises an adrenaline action thriller. Varun Tej doing such an action film raised prospects. Sakshi Vaidya played female lead. Praveen Sattaru written and directed the film while BVSN Prasad produced it. Let’s get into the review.
Arjun Varma (Varun Tej), ex Army Officer and Raw agent has been roped in to escort Central Minister of Environment Aditya Raj (Nasser) who is in London to participate in an UN Summit. His advisor IAS officer Ira (Sakshi Vaidya) doesn’t want Arjun for the job. To find out why Ira is against Arjun, what threat Adithya Raj is facing, what it has got to do with his daughter Priya (Vimala Raman), grand daughter Riya (Baby Veda), CNG owner Ranveer ( Vinay Rai) forms the entire story.
Varun Tej is apt for his role of a trained bodyguard. He played the role effortlessly. He looked handsome with perfect physique. He emoted well and gave a subtle performance. He enacted action sequences with ease and confidence.
Sakshi Vaidya got good screen presence and looked good on screen. Nassar brought his experience to make his presence felt as the Union Minister who goes all out to do anything for the country and also showed good emotions.
Vimala Raman is good in her role. Vinai Rai who played the role of the main villain is just okay. Ravi Varma as Vinai Rai’s assistant made his presence felt.
Gandeevadhari Arjuna’s story written by Praveen Sattaru has a relatable message woven aroung an action thriller. Right from the start till the finish he sticks to the point of environmental damage with garbage waste blending with action sequences putting his hero, Varun Tej in action mode.
The idea is good but with a thin plot, the narration seems uneven at times. But, the stylishly shot action sequences at exotic locales keep moving the film’s proceedings. He included a few twists and turns that excite all. The pre-climax connects chords with the sentiment of the people with Nassar giving a good message to the entire world and in the process through dialogues highlighting how the US, UK, France, and other superpowers turned the other nations into their favorite dumping yard.
The music of Mickey J Meyer turned out to be good at parts. The cinematography of Mukesh Kumar is impressive. Editing could have been better especially in second half. The production values of BVSN Prasad of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra are lavish.
Rating: 3 / 5
Bottom line: Action Thriller With A Relatable Cause
