First Half

Drawbacks:

Gets Slow At Times In Second Half

Analysis:

Hunt is an investigative thriller with a memory loss element. Director Mahesh has handled the story very well. The entire first half is engaging with gripping narration. Action scenes are well executed and blended smoothly with the main story. Going with almost no songs work in favour of the film as it allows free flow of the thrilling experience without any deviation.

The second half is where the film struggles a bit. The momentum which was maintained in first half loses its steam in second half for a brief period. But, the film gets back on track drawing the audience towards the film with twists and turns. The final twist is a brave step, especially in Tollywood that too for a popular hero like Sudheer Babu. Have to appreciate the guts of team to go on with this climax. But, it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.

Ghibran’s BGM maintained tense mood and is in sync with the mood of the film. Vincent’s cinematography deserves a mention. He captured frames aesthetically with good lighting. Editing especially in second half could have been better. Production values by Anand Prasad are lavish and provided everything needed to make it a stylish slick thriller.

Rating: 3 / 5
Bottom-line: Slick  & Stylish Action Thriller With A Shocking Twist !!
