Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty starring Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty is a rom-com between a chef and a standup comedian. Anushka is making her big screen entry after four years and Naveen Polishetty after two years. The film’s trailer has generated interest for its unique point and the pairing added more buzz to the film. Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty was released in theatres on 7th September. Story:
Anvitha (Anushka Shetty) is a famous chef in London who lives with her Mother (Jayasudha). She doesn’t believe in love and marriage but her mother wants to get her married. After her mom’s demise, Anvitha decides to get a baby but without a marriage and getting physical with anyone. She meets a standup comedian Siddhu Polishetty (Naveen), in India and selects him for sperm donation. How Siddhu reacts to her proposal and what happens between them forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Naveen Polishetty steals the show in Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty. He has an organic glow when it comes to situational comedy and that quality is at a full display in this film. His role as a standup comedian is tailor made for him. He aces in that role. He made many scenes in the film worked with his impeccable comedy timing and spontaneity.
Anushka Shetty looks lovely onscreen. She is seen in a quirky NRI role. She carries much needed grace in her character. She is effortless and does a fine job. She came up with her experience and made emotions workout during the climax.
Others like Murali Sharma, Jayasudha, Nassar, Abhinav Goutham, Harshawardhan played key roles and they are adequate.

Analysis:
Director Mahesh Babu takes a thin storyline but intertwined it with hilarious comedy and touching emotions. He uses Miss Shetty for emotional angle whereas Mr Polishetty for entertainment. Though the film starts on the note of heavy drama, it is essential to establish the core point. Once Naveen Polishetty enters the story, the entire vibe of the film gets changed and sailed smoothly with enjoyable moments.
The second half starts with drama but quickly brings the impressive stand-up comedy aspect into the narrative. The climax is handled neatly with emotions. The film has a complete urban look to it dealing with aspects like sperm donation, stand up comedy and lengthy but meaningful conversations. But, the comedy and core emotion made up for some lags here and there.
The music by Radhan and BGM by Gopi Sundar could have been better. The cinematography by Nirav Shah is colourful . The production values by UV Creations maintain quality in the output.
