Story:

When a family comes to buy a house, they discover that it is haunted by ghosts. But in reality the ghosts feels they are scared of the humans. What is the reason for their death and how they take revenge is the basic story of the film.

Performances:

Tapsee has a simple yet effective role in the movie. She needs to scare and she makes sure the scares are felt with her chilling expressions. The emotional scenes are less but whenever they come, she stands out with her act.

Srinivas Reddy takes center stage as he leads the comedy gang. He is fine in the role of leading guy. He also shows his acting chops in the second half when the moment comes to face the ghosts.

Rajeev Kanakala starts out in a regular fashion but towards the end he manages to show why he is special and makes a standout impression. Vennela Kishore, Tagubothu Ramesh, and Shakalaka Shankar provide the laughs with peculiar characteristics. Their scenes together in the second half are the highlights of the movie.

Positives:

Comedy

Comedian’s performances

Second half

Negatives:

Takes time to get going

Analysis:

Half the battle is won for director Mahi V Raghav with an interesting concept and fine set of actors perfect for the genre. The concept engages and the actors hold the attention with their acting. The right moments in the narrative come in the second half when the actor’s gets individual scenes to showcase their inimitable talent.

The problem, albeit slightly, with the film is the story and the final payoff. It is as predictable as they come. The result is the narrative takes time to build in the initial segment and in the end, one doesn’t feel engaged enough to really connect with the climax or care about the characters. The middle portion where all the entertainment is stored is real highlight of the movie. There is non-stop entertainment.

K gives amazing background music. The sound design is really high class. The cinematography by Anish is superb for a low budget movie. Editing by K Shravan could have been better. Production values are superb.

Bottom-line : Delivers Horror And Comedy Equally
