How will she get out without getting slut-shammed is the basic story of the movie.

Performances:

Amala Paul has pushed the bar for boldness for an Indian actor to a whole new level with her act in Aame. But, the real part here is that instead of the bold part, it is her acting that draws all the attention. It is a dream role for her that highlights her true acting credentials relying solely on her facial expressions.

The entire second half relies on Amala Paul to act and convey the emotion with face alone. It is the ultimate test for any actor, and she passes with flying colors.

Apart from Amala Paul, the movie features a good mixture of boys and girls who are relatively unknown but suit their parts. They all act their roles convincingly. As far as performance is considered, Sriranjani stands out after Amala Paul with her lovable and caring mother performance.

Highlights :

Amala Paul

Story

Direction

Message

Drawbacks :

Loses track of narrative in between

Analysis:

Rathna Kumar has come up with truly unique and bold content in Aame. It tackles a lot of issues plaguing modern society, but everything is told engagingly without losing track for the most part.

However, the best part of the whole exercise is the total lack of glorification of nudity for cheap thrills. Rathna Kumar doesn’t resort to such thing or panders to those elements. He keeps the content at the forefront and gets about his work clinically.

The underlying message of the movie gets lost after a point though due to the convoluted narration. It takes time to get to the real intention, and when it arrives, it feels as if forcibly put out. The hammering also makes it stick out. It is the only aspect that makes an otherwise superbly executed audaciously mounted film fail to get to its true potential.

The ultimate message, in the end, is essential for the current generation who fail to take anything seriously. Everything is entertainment or a joke for them which has a real-life repercussion. It is a great observation and point, but it comes at the very end. So, make sure to stay until the end.

The music and background score by Pradeep Kumar is excellent. The background score is tremendous, with a trippy feel to it. The cinematography by Vijay Karthik Kannan is extraordinary in the way it captures the mood and essence of the plot. The editing by Shafique Mohammad Ali further enhances the appeal.

Producer Thammareddy Bharadwaj needs to be appreciated wholeheartedly for bringing a unique movie, like Aame to Telugu audience. It offers a never before seen experience that can be felt only in cinemas.

Bottom-line: A Bold And Audacious Attempt

Rating: 3/5

Title: Aame CBFC Rating : A Run-Time: 2 Hrs 23 Mins Release Date: 20-07-2019 Banners: Charitha Chitra, Rithvi Creations Cast: Amala Paul, Sri Ranjani, Ramya VJ and Others Music: Pradeep Kumar, OORKA Cinematography: Vijay Kartik Kannan Editing: Shafique Mohammad Ali Presented By: Tammareddy Bharadwaj Co-Producer: J Phanindra Kumar Producers: Rambabu Kalluri, Vijay Moraveneni Written, Directed […]

[24,14,17
2322,2568,2318,2569
