When Vikram’s girlfriend Neha (Ruhani Sharma) goes missing, and he suspects that another missing case is linked to her. What happened and Who is behind these crimes concludes ‘The First Case’ of ‘HIT’.

Performances:

Vishwak Sen did the role of crime investigating officer fighting traumatic issues. He did an excellent job of showing the temperament of the character. The dialogue delivery adds to the depth, which is generally overlooked. He gave a matured and settled performance, maintaining the required seriousness throughout the film.

Ruhani Sharma has a limited screen space and is okay. Seasoned actors Brahmaji, Bhanu Chander, Murali Sharma, are adequate and added more weight to the proceedings with their experience. They also help in keeping the serious mood of the narrative alive.

Highlights:

Vishwak Sen
Engaging Narration
Interesting Pattern Of Investigation
Background Music

Drawbacks:

Final Portions could have been better

Analysis:

Director Sailesh Kolanu sets the mood right for a crime thriller from the start and he succeeded in maintaining it throughout the film. It helps in holding the interest with a taut screenplay. The investigative part is narrated engagingly. It is the main USP of ‘HIT’ as a large part of the movie is all about investigation.

Though the movie is all about investigation, for a large part, it never feels repetitive. The presence of various artists and the neat build-up of suspense elements using them is the key. As a viewer, one is always gripped with the progress of the story. What happens next and where the narrative goes next keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, even if it might be momentarily.

The second half feels a little overdone and a bit of lengthy. However, it never goes to the extent of boring the viewers. Director must be applauded for narrating the story in an interesting and gripping manner. The climax could have been better, though. Crisp runtime would have done wonders for this film.

Music by Vivek Sagar, Especially the background score is top-notch and stands as the main highlight of the film. The Cinematography by Manikandan and Editing by Garry BH with their work have elevated the film furthermore. They are top-notch. Technically the movie is slick with each department coming up with their best. The set work or the sound mix, they are all fantastic and add to the intrigue and feel.

Natural Star Nani, who is quite busy with his films, is backing content-driven films. It shows his conviction for delivering new-age cinema to the audience. Producers, Nani along with Prashanthi Tipirneni, scores one more ‘HIT’ after ‘AWE’ and deserve appreciation for selecting and making such kind of unique films.

Bottom-Line: A Fairly Engaging Thriller

Rating: 3/5

Title: HIT CBFC Rating : UA Run-Time: 2 Hrs 06 Min Release Date: 28-02-2020 Banner: Wall Poster Cinema Cast: Vishwak Sen, Ruhani Sharma, Chaitanya Sagiraju, Brahmaji, Bhanu Chander, Murali Sharma, and others Music: Vivek Sagar Cinematography: S Manikandan Editing: Garry BH Producers: Prashanti Tipirneni Written and Directed by Sailesh Kolanu Story: Vikram Rudraraju (Vishwak Sen) […]

[24,11,14,17
4773,7509,8502,593,8201,2607,7444,3602,7473,1791,7594,8019
