\u201cOne of the most energetic and enthralling live acts to come out of India. Having played countless gigs in over a dozen countries, winning numerous national awards and recognitions, Masala Coffee are capturing hearts all over the world\u201d<\/p>\n

The brainchild of percussionist Varun Sunil, Masala Coffee was formed late 2014 and shot to YouTube stardom through performances on Indian television channel Kappa Tv\u2019s \u2018Music Mojo\u2019 episodes. His catchy arrangements of popular folk songs for the band went viral and the music has since captivated audiences across the globe. Varun\u2019s powerful and entertaining percussion playing is a definite showstopper!<\/p>\n

The band\u2019s distinctive alternative sound stems from the guitar duties of seasoned musician Preeth PS.His foot tapping riffs and melodies in Masala Coffee’s songwriting has listeners always grooving. Constantly infusing traditional acoustic sounds to futuristic sonic drones, he make each song tell a different story and give folk rock a totally new perspective .<\/p>\n

Having undergone numerous changes in the rhythm department, Paul Joseph on bass guitar and Daya Shankar on drums have finally teamed up to be the backbone of the band. Super tight, ultra groovy and an uncanny ability to bring the funk out of everything, these two musical heavyweights hold fort for Masala Coffee. Staying true to their rich Indian influence, Masala coffee has seen a number of traditional Indian instrumentalists collaborate with them on record and live. The early releases saw the legendary Esraj maestro Arshad Khan weave his magic in their tunes and he still tours with them on occasion. Currently, the young and ingenious violin player Amal Sivan is a part of Masala Coffee and you can see him jumping around stage like a true fiddler on the roof.<\/p>\n

The voices behind the songs belong to 2 sensational performers, Aslam & Crishna. Although they are the most recent members (late 2018), they have brought in their own style and personalities to take Masala Coffee\u2019s music to the next level. These soft spoken and unsuspecting frontmen bring the roof down at every concert! Uber talented pianist, keyboard player & gear geek Steve Kottoor completes the band\u2019s lineup. He brings in a sound to the band that is unique and pushes every composition to take an unsuspecting turn with his witty musical ideas.
\nThe band is currently working on their Album \u2018EKTARA \u2018
\nAlso they have signed two Telugu films after Kannum Kannum Kolliadithaal .<\/p>\n
