Dynamic Star Vishnu Manchu\u2019s dream project \u2018Kannappa\u2019 is all set to release on June 27th. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Dr. M. Mohan Babu under the banners of AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory, the film has already garnered high expectations through its teaser, trailer, and songs. On Thursday, Vishnu Manchu and the \u2018Kannappa\u2019 team interacted with the media.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking at the event, Vishnu Manchu<\/span> said : \u201cOver one lakh tickets have already been sold for \u2018Kannappa\u2019. I feel immense joy seeing such a response. It truly feels like Lord Shiva\u2019s divine grace. In the beginning, no one believed there would be this much positivity around \u2018Kannappa\u2019. That\u2019s not their fault. But today, the film is surrounded by complete positivity. I want families to watch this film together in comfort, which is why I have not raised ticket prices. Especially for children, this film is made with them in mind. Except for a few places in Andhra Pradesh, we haven\u2019t increased the prices.<\/span><\/p>\n

By God\u2019s grace, I\u2019ve never faced financial hurdles with \u2018Kannappa\u2019. My father, Mohan Babu Garu, along with Vijay and Vinay, have stood by me and taken care of everything. Our team worked extremely hard on this film. I didn\u2019t struggle as much as they did. All four of my children acted in this film. As a father, it\u2019s a delight to see them on screen. I do hope they become artists too, but let\u2019s see where life takes them. No one expected this level of positivity for \u2018Kannappa\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have planned a 2 AM screening in Karnataka and a wide release in Kerala. The film will not stream on OTT for 10 weeks. There\u2019s no pressure on me regarding its release. I respect everyone and have no intention of disrespecting any community. The film doesn’t demean anyone. The core message is this \u2014 there is no need for intermediaries or blind beliefs between a devotee and God. All you need is sincere devotion. It\u2019s with confidence in the script that we invested such a big budget and took this risk. Mohanlal Garu\u2019s role in the film will be a surprising and shocking revelation. With Lord Shiva\u2019s blessings, this Friday will belong to me. \u2018Kannappa\u2019 is not a myth \u2014 he truly existed, and people still worship him today. I repeat \u2014 \u2018Kannappa\u2019 is not a myth, it\u2019s history \u2014 our history. He lived among us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Director Mukesh Kumar Singh<\/span> stated: \u201cI\u2019ve spoken a lot about \u2018Kannappa\u2019 so far. I\u2019m grateful to Mohan Babu Garu and Vishnu Garu for giving me this opportunity. We\u2019ve made this film with utmost sincerity, and now we\u2019re waiting to see if our hard work pays off \u2014 it\u2019s all in the hands of the audience. This generation doesn\u2019t know much about Kannappa. We wanted to show how a man who once didn\u2019t believe in God or devotion ultimately became a great devotee of Lord Shiva. Every actor has poured their soul into their roles. We made this film with a pure heart, and we\u2019ll accept whatever verdict the audience gives us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Cinematographer Sheldon Chau<\/span> commented: “The film has come out wonderfully, especially the last hour of the second half, the climax will move audiences to tears.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Actor Siva Balaji<\/span> shared : \u201cWe shot in one of the most beautiful places on Earth \u2014 New Zealand. There\u2019s now a complete wave of positivity around the film. Such movies are rare and not easy to make or produce. I\u2019ve already seen the movie \u2014 and I swear, it\u2019s going to be phenomenal.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Actor Kaushal<\/span> said : \u201c\u2018Kannappa\u2019 is releasing on June 27th. After nearly 50 years, Vishnu is bringing back the story of Kannappa for today\u2019s generation.
