Legendary Director Joshiy announces collaboration with Unni Mukundan’s UMF and Einstin Media

The announcement came on the Director’s birthday

In a major announcement that has sent waves across the Malayalam film industry, legendary filmmaker Joshiy is all set to direct a high-octane action entertainer under the joint banner of Unni Mukundan Films (UMF) and Einstin Media.

The announcement, made on the birthday of director Joshiy, is a deep rooted and profound appreciation to one of the most iconic voices in Indian cinema. With a career that spans decades and blockbusters that have shaped generations, director Joshiy is helming a film that promises to blend vintage scale with contemporary storytelling firepower.

Following the National Award-winning Meppadiyaan and the 100-crore high octane action drama Marco, UMF continues to raise the bar this time, by joining hands with a master craftsman whose films have defined the language of Malayalam commercial cinema.

Joining director Joshiy is writer-director Abhilash N. Chandran, known for his powerful character-driven scripts, including the acclaimed Porinju Mariam Jose and King Of Kotha. His storytelling depth ensures that this film will not just be about action, but also emotion, grit, and unforgettable moments.

In the lead, Unni Mukundan steps into a never-before-seen, high-powered action avatar, tailor-made for the big screen and crafted to resonate with both loyal fans and new-age audiences.

“Driven by Passion, Now Fuelled by Ego,” UMF stands for fearless, high-impact storytelling that speaks to both families and today’s youth.

Backing this cinematic spectacle is Einstin Media, one of the most promising production houses in the Malayalam film industry today. Known for their bold choices and quality-driven projects, Einstin Media most recently made waves with the critically acclaimed film Antony. Einstin Media’s critically acclaimed ‘Purusha Pretham’ was celebrated for its dark humour, inventive storytelling, and bold narrative style. With a vision rooted in cinematic excellence and a drive to take Malayalam content to larger arenas, Einstin Media’s involvement amplifies the scale, ambition, and production value of the upcoming film.

Jointly produced by UMF and Einstin Media, this mega project is set to deliver a cinematic experience that’s rooted in legacy and powered by vision.
