An emotional song to create awareness and achieve 100% Menstrual Hygiene.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the noble vision that the progress of women\u2019s health ensures the growth of the entire society, Arunachalam Muruganantham\u2014who overcame numerous challenges and barriers to invent machines that produce low-cost sanitary pads, thereby significantly improving menstrual hygiene from cities to rural areas\u2014was honoured with India\u2019s prestigious Padma Shri award.<\/span><\/p>\n

Arunachalam Muruganantham played a pivotal role in replacing the unhygienic practice of using cloth during menstruation. His life story was portrayed in the Bollywood film ‘Padman’, starring popular actor Akshay Kumar.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, as a major step in his next mission to achieve breaking the taboos and 100% Menstrual Hygiene awareness, Arunachalam Muruganantham has collaborated with renowned poet Pa. Vijay to create an awareness song that will emotionally connect with people and spread this vital message.<\/span><\/p>\n

The announcement of this song was made today (August 26) on the occasion of Women\u2019s Equality Day. Speaking about the initiative, Arunachalam Muruganantham said: “Our efforts to create awareness about menstrual and uterine health have already brought about significant positive impact. However, the COVID-19 pandemic caused a temporary setback. Now, we are fully committed to resuming this mission, and this song will serve as an important medium to create widespread awareness among people.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He added: “We will first create this song in Tamil, and later it will be released in multiple languages worldwide. On this Women\u2019s Equality Day, we pledge to protect women\u2019s health.”<\/span><\/p>\n

This is produced by Sudhir of Taraa Creations, an Indian entrepreneur and investor based in Dubai. Speaking on the occasion, he said, \u201cWe dedicate this creation to all the women across the world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
