Strong content alone drives success. Everyone’s calling to say our Aadi has delivered a hit: Sai Kumar at the success celebrations

Despite heavy competition, Shambhala turned out to be a big hit: Aadi Saikumar

Versatile actor Aadi Saikumar played the lead in Shambhala, produced jointly by Mahidhar Reddy and Rajashekhar Annabhimoju under the Shining Pictures banner. The film is directed by Ugandhar Muni and was grandly released today (December 25). With the premieres receiving an excellent response and the film racing ahead with houseful collections on Day One, the team expressed immense happiness. In this context, the film unit organized a success celebration on Thursday.

Sai Kumar said: “I still remember the words my father told me after watching Prema Kavali in Vizianagaram. Today, hearing that housefull boards are up everywhere brings back those memories. In my 50-year career, I’ve acted in over 300 films and given dubbing for more than a thousand movies. I regularly keep track of new releases and their results. When Police Story released, I wondered if it would go houseful—but seeing packed halls made me extremely happy.

Now I’m hearing the same words again. Yesterday, I went on a theatre visit wearing a Shambhala T-shirt, and everywhere I went, the response was phenomenal. As Anil Ravipudi said, we scored a hit this Friday. He even messaged me at midnight calling it a blockbuster. We’re receiving terrific responses from all over, and people are calling nonstop for tickets.

All the credit goes to director Ugandhar Muni. Aadi, like me, is a director-actor at heart. People are also saying my voice-over has been a plus for the film. Touching upon Sanatana Dharma, Ugandhar has crafted this film beautifully. With a strong team, Mahidhar garu and Rajashekhar garu have made a film that audiences have turned into a big hit.

Every element in Shambhala captivates the audience. Films with strong content alone succeed. Housefulls everywhere, calls pouring in from all sides—everyone is saying, ‘Our Aadi has delivered a hit.’ People are congratulating me with great affection. This is truly a people’s victory. It’s a perfect family entertainer, blending all commercial elements seamlessly. Very soon, the Shambhala team will go on a success tour.”

Aadi Saikumar said: “The media has supported Shambhala immensely. I thank the media, my fans, and the audience who have stood by me throughout my journey. Director Ugandhar Muni said: “We began Shambhala last December and completed all post-production work just two weeks ago. Naturally, we were anxious about how audiences would receive the film and how to release it. Aha and Zee competed to acquire our movie after watching it.

We released the film amid intense competition and held preview shows over the past three days. The media preview received an overwhelming response, which gave me immense relief. During theatre visits, the response was extraordinary everywhere. People are calling nonstop for tickets—ironically, even we’re struggling to get tickets ourselves. Housefull boards are up at every theatre.
