Grand ‘Funky’ Pre-Release Event

“Funky will make everyone laugh uncontrollably,” says Mass Ka Das Vishwak Sen

Funky is arriving in theatres as a Valentine’s Day treat, bringing a shower of laughter to audiences. The film brings together Mass Ka Das Vishwak Sen, who has built a unique identity with diverse films, and director K.V. Anudeep, who has become a go-to name for comedy cinema. Presented by Srikara Studios, the film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, and Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead.

Releasing on February 13, Funky has generated strong expectations among audiences. The already released teaser, trailer, and songs have been widely appreciated and have doubled the buzz. On Wednesday evening, the film’s team held a grand pre-release event at Lake View Club in Khammam.

“Before every release, I feel a bit of tension. But before Funky, I am surprisingly calm. When our time is good and our films work, everyone supports us. Even though my last two films were slightly disappointing, I am deeply grateful to everyone who stood by me and supported me. I will never forget your love. In life, we sometimes fall down. Falling is not a mistake; not getting back up is. Because of your love, I am standing here today. You will enjoy Funky thoroughly.

When I was going through a rough phase, this wonderful film came to me. It felt like it was sent by God. I thank director Anudeep garu and producer Naga Vamsi garu for giving me such a good film. Special thanks to Chinababu garu, who closely oversaw everything for this movie.

Everyone who comes to the theatre will laugh a lot watching this film. My pairing with Kayadu Lohar has worked beautifully. She is very talented and hardworking. She has a bright future ahead.

Two years ago, the pre-release event of Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam also happened in Khammam. I believe that same sentiment will continue with Funky. The film will entertain every member of the family. See you in theatres on February 13. This film will not disappoint you at all.”

“I don’t even have words to express the love you are showing us. Thank you for the amazing response to the Funky teaser, trailer, and songs. Please watch Funky in theatres on February 13. You will definitely like it. There will be Anudeep garu’s signature style of comedy. I am happy to have worked with Vishwak Sen. Thank you to Naga Vamsi garu for giving me this opportunity. I hope you shower love on the character I played in this film.”

“I studied in Madina College in Khammam. I used to travel by train from Mahabubabad to Khammam, singing songs and writing poems. Today, the songs I wrote and composed here are being heard across continents. People are singing, dancing, and whistling to them. My heartfelt thanks to Khammam district, the people of Khammam, and everyone who encouraged me.

Funky is a full family entertainer. Everyone who watches it will say it’s very good. You can go with friends or family and have a great time laughing together. You will laugh throughout the film. I enjoyed every scene while composing the background score. I personally loved the film a lot.

After watching Jathi Ratnalu, I wanted to make a film like that and work with such a director. I got this opportunity through director Kalyan Shankar of MAD. This is my fourth film with Sithara Entertainments — starting with MAD, then MAD Square, Mass Jathara, and now Funky. I hope to do many more films with Sithara.

Thanks to Naga Vamsi garu, Chinababu garu, Sai Soujanya garu, and Trivikram garu. I hope I get more chances to work with Vishwak Sen. Anudeep garu is a man of values and humanity. He stands by his word and supports people in difficult times. My wish to work with him has come true with Funky.”

Amid huge enthusiasm from the youth, the event was conducted in a grand manner. Singer Rohini Sorat, lyricist Dev Pawar, Aditya Music’s Niranjan, actors Ravi Anthony, Mahipal, Pawan, Raghava Ram, and others attended and wished Funky a big success.
