After a few low phases at the box office, fans were waiting to see Suriya in a full mass avatar. The film stars Trisha as the female lead and has RJ Balaji playing a key role. With a mix of action, divine elements, and court drama, the makers promised a commercial entertainer. Released on May 15th with good buzz, Veera Bhadrudu aims to bring back Suriya’s vintage energy and box office pull.

Plot

An old man and his daughter from Tamil Nadu come to Hyderabad for a surgery. Their jewellery gets stolen soon after they arrive. Though the police catch the thieves, the court asks them to follow legal steps to get their valuables back. At Nampally court, they meet Baby Krishna (RJ Balaji), a corrupt lawyer who troubles them instead of helping. When injustice grows, divine power enters in the form of Veera Bhadrudu (Suriya). He steps in to punish the dishonest and protect the innocent. The story blends faith, justice, and mass action as Veerabhadrudu fights a system run by crooked lawyers, with Preethi (Trisha) playing a crucial part in the twist.

Performances

Suriya is the heart and soul of Veera Bhadrudu. He brings back his mass charm with full energy and screen presence. As the divine avatar, he looks powerful, and his body language carries a magical aura. In the lawyer portions, he shows sharp timing and ease. Suriya balances fury and emotion with great control. Trisha gets a solid role as Preethi and adds grace to the film. She starts strong, supports the narrative, and shares good chemistry with Suriya.

RJ Balaji is effective as the crooked lawyer Baby Krishna. His comic timing and face off scenes with Suriya work well and add entertainment. Indrans gives a touching performance as the helpless father. Natty, Swasika, Sshivadha, Anagha, and Supreeth Reddy fit their parts and support the story without going overboard.

Highlights

1. The early portions focus on the father and daughter and the corrupt system run by Baby Krishna. Though the pace is slow, the base is clear. Suriya’s entry changes the mood completely. The interval block with his powerful reveal gives a high and sets the stage for a stronger second half. The second half is where the film finds its rhythm. The courtroom fun, magical moments, and Suriya’s divine punishments keep the audience engaged. The territory episode with Trisha, the Leo reference, and the post interval comedy land well. The pre climax and climax are designed for fans, with Suriya in full form showing anger and justice. The emotional core connects, even if the theme of corruption feels familiar.

On the technical side, the film scores high. GK Vishnu’s cinematography gives a rich and grand look to both divine and mass moments. The color tone by Red Chillies suits the mood of the film. Sai Abhyankkar’s background score lifts many scenes, though the songs are more tuned to Tamil nativity. The action choreography is sharp and Suriya’s fights look stylish. Production values are strong and the court setup, village portions, and divine episodes look authentic. Editing is decent, but a tighter first half would have helped. RJ Balaji picks a known subject but adds a fresh idea of giving limits to god’s power, which makes the drama interesting. The writing keeps the focus on entertainment while passing a message on justice.

Veera Bhadrudu is a solid comeback for Suriya. The film gives fans the mass hero they missed and delivers enjoyable theatrical moments. With strong performances, good technical work, and a divine touch to a familiar story, it works as a satisfying commercial entertainer.

Rating: 3.25 / 5

Bottom-line: Suriya Delivers A Powerful Mass Comeback

VeeraBhadrudu Movie Review Movie: Veerabhadrudu review Release Date: 15 May 2026 CBFC Rating: UA Run-time: 2h 30m Banner: Dream Warrior Pictures Cast : Suriya, Trisha, Indrans, Natty, Swasika, Sshivadha, Anagha Maya Ravi, Supreeth Reddy and Others Music : ‪SaiAbhyankkar‬ Editor : R Kalaivanan Director of Photography : G K Vishnu Writers : Ashwin Ravichandran – […]

[24,11,14,17
49914,68646,7668,5238,612,7750,2176,70445
12197,10074,38923,11383,41548,21629,10910
