Trikaala: A Script of God arrives as a bold Telugu mythological dark thriller from director Mani Tellagooti. Backed by Chaganti Productions, the film aims to build a new mythic horror universe for the big screen. With karma, reincarnation, tantric energy, and psychological fear at its core, Trikaala sets out to give audiences a fresh cinematic language. The film blends ancient lore with modern horror and arrives at a time when viewers are open to experimental genre cinema. Plot <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The story starts centuries ago in Kumari Khandam where sages hide powerful tantric texts and secret technology from dark forces. They forge a divine weapon named Shakti Aetha and give it to warrior king Trikaal Varma. He dies fighting evil, and his soul is sealed inside a cosmic egg to return in Kali Yuga when the world faces great danger. In the present, Shiva comes to the city to find his missing lover Nidhi and carries a phone possessed by dark energy. He meets Vaitaran, a man who cannot face sunlight due to Porphyria. Vaitaran is Trikaal Varma reborn. Burdened by trauma, he kills his father and stepmother before ending his life, yet his spirit haunts a mansion. Psychiatrist Maya gets trapped there as an old demon king prepares to rise. The film follows how the Darwadi tantric tribe revives the cosmic egg, how Trikaal Varma\u2019s soul returns, and how Shiva is tied to this spiritual war.<\/span><\/p>\n

Performances <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ajay is outstanding as Vaitaran. He plays a man caught between mental pain, fear, and dark powers with total control. His eyes, body language, and voice carry constant unease. He makes Vaitaran both scary and tragic, and his scenes in the mansion are haunting. Master Mahendran as Shiva is natural and heartfelt. He moves from innocence to fear to love with ease. His emotional breakdown in the climax connects strongly because he keeps it honest and simple. <\/span><\/p>\n

Shraddha Das as psychiatrist Maya brings mystery and strength. She avoids glamour and uses silence, gaze, and posture to build tension. Her calm presence in horror moments makes the fear deeper. Veteran Aamani as the stepmother gives the film its emotional base. She shows motherly love, suspicion, and pain with great honesty. Together, the four leads hold the film\u2019s complex world and keep the human drama alive inside the dark visuals.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first half of Trikaala builds its world with patience and atmosphere. Director Mani Tellagooti introduces the myth of Kumari Khandam, the cosmic egg, and the idea of rebirth without heavy exposition. The visuals and sound do the talking. Once Shiva enters the city, the story gains speed. The meeting with Vaitaran, the mystery of the haunted phone, and Maya\u2019s entry are placed well. The interval block is strong and uses VFX to create a sense of scale. The second half dives deeper into trauma, tantric rituals, and the return of Trikaal Varma. Some portions feel dense because of the layered ideas, yet the emotional track of Shiva and the moral conflict of Maya keep it engaging. The climax is intense and visually rich, and it ties the karma theme together. A little trimming in the middle would have helped pace, but the film stays true to its dark tone from start to end.<\/span><\/p>\n

Technically, Trikaala is a big win for Telugu cinema. Mani Tellagooti designs every frame with a clear dark language. Shadows, empty halls, and slow camera moves create constant suspense. Pawan Channa\u2019s cinematography is excellent. He uses deep blacks, golden light beams, and wide shots inside caves and temples to give a gothic, international look. Harshavardhan Rameshwar\u2019s music and Shajith Humayun\u2019s background score lift the mood. The sound design often replaces jump scares and makes the fear immersive. VFX work on the cosmic egg, demonic forms, and spirit battles is clean and blends with real light. Production values by Radhika Srinivas are solid, with detailed costumes and strong color grading. In conclusion, Trikaala is a brave and visually strong film that mixes myth, horror, and emotion. It may feel heavy for viewers who want simple scares, but for fans of atmospheric dark fantasy it offers a unique theatre experience that expands the scope of Telugu genre films.<\/span><\/p>\n
