Young and talented actor Harshith Reddy’s latest film Deewana, produced by Vasudev Koppineni and Sridevi Karyampudi under the Arha Media and V Studios banners, is receiving a positive response from audiences across all sections. The beautiful love story also marks the debut of heroine Smeha Manimegalai and director Sreekanth Sangishetty. Released theatrically on June 20, the film is running successfully in theatres. To celebrate this success, the makers organized a grand Success Meet in Hyderabad.<\/span><\/p>\n

Actor Narsingh<\/span> said, “The friend character I played in this film is receiving a wonderful response. Audiences are telling me they wish they had a friend like the one I portrayed. Because the film received an A certificate, many families are unable to watch it. I genuinely don’t understand why a film with such beautiful father-son emotions received this certification. There are no objectionable scenes in the movie. Anyone who watches it will understand that.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Actor Tony<\/span> said, “I honestly don’t understand what emotion or scene prompted the authorities to give our film an A certificate. Friends tell us that people trying to book tickets see an 18+ warning and become hesitant. The media itself appreciated how good our film is. For newcomers like us, reaching this stage itself is a big achievement. Audiences are appreciating the film in theatres. This is not a revenge movie; it’s a rampage movie. The character Sai that I played is receiving good recognition.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Actor K.K.<\/span> said, “This film represents three years of hard work by our team. Please don’t watch it through piracy. The talk surrounding the movie is very positive. People are appreciating the writing and performances. Please watch it in theatres and support us. Just as Dhoni led the Indian cricket team, our captain, Srikanth Anna, led us throughout this journey.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Actress Sindhu<\/span> said, “Three years ago, Director Srikanth narrated this script, and he has now brought it to life exactly as beautifully as he envisioned it. Everywhere we go, people are calling it a blockbuster. The father-son relationship has been portrayed in a very touching manner. Even my own family members became emotional while watching the film. Fight Master Hari <\/span>said, “After working on this film, I felt Harshith could easily become a successful action hero. He performed the action sequences very naturally. I watched the film with my family and thoroughly enjoyed it. The dialogue delivered by Tony in the climax will stay with audiences for a long time. If filmmakers and producers who want to tell new stories face such hurdles, how will they enter the industry? If a film genuinely contains objectionable content, then appropriate certification is understandable. But our director has not told a conventional love story; he has told a story about the power of love itself. To us, the A certificate stands for an Amazing film, an Adventurous film, and a film that Audiences should experience.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Actress Jhansi <\/span>said, “Every theatre is reporting an excellent response for Deewana. I watched the film in a theatre myself and felt incredibly proud. We have made a truly wonderful film. Director Srikanth has carried the narrative brilliantly. Initially, I thought I would simply perform a mother character, but once I entered the sets, I realized how deeply he had developed every character. His dialogues are one of the biggest highlights of the film. They sound completely natural, just like everyday conversations. Young audiences will strongly connect with Harshith’s character, Munna.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Producer Vasudev Koppineni <\/span>said, “I am experiencing mixed emotions today. Appreciation calls are pouring in from everywhere, with people praising the film. At the same time, I feel we could have reached even more audiences. We had planned promotional tours across both Telugu states before release, but we had to cancel them because of the certification issue. There are no kissing scenes or violent sequences in our film, yet it received an A certificate. I request audiences to give our young team a chance. If you don’t like the film, we are even willing to return your money. We are reducing ticket prices in single-screen theatres to \u20b9100 and will announce a special rate for multiplexes as well. Thank you to everyone supporting us.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Producer Sridevi Karyampudi <\/span>said, “Ever since the premiere screenings, everyone has been appreciating the film. Our house is located near Bhramaramba Theatre, and we could hear the audience response from there. Usually, such reactions are associated with major star films. Seeing that response made me extremely happy. However, many people trying to book tickets are seeing the 18+ warning and becoming hesitant. As a woman, a mother, and someone with a family, I can confidently say that this is a film families can watch together without any concern. Media friends have already seen the film, and they know there is nothing objectionable in it. Please watch it in theatres, you will not be disappointed.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Director Sreekanth Sangishetty<\/span> said, “I have complete faith in the taste and judgment of Telugu audiences. Deewana will not stop here; it will continue its successful journey. Audiences always support good cinema. Our film combines both realism and commercial appeal. The kind of response that elevation scenes receive in films like KGF is the same kind of response our smaller emotional moments and dialogues are receiving. Wherever Harshith goes, audiences surround him with affection. I made Deewana with the belief that Telugu cinema is second to none and can stand above all others. Audiences are deeply feeling the pain of the hero and heroine and are unable to hold back their tears. Some people who do not understand our language and cultural nuances are giving censor cuts that dilute the essence of the film. Others are attempting to undermine Telugu cinema through reviews from outside. Regardless of all that, I proudly stand by this film. A film like Deewana has not come in the last ten years and will not come again in the next ten years.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Hero Harshith Reddy <\/span>said, “I proudly say that we have made a great film. After watching Deewana, today’s youth will fall in love with the very concept of love itself. We have portrayed real life on screen. Many viewers are sending emotional messages. One young man told us that after watching the film, he went home and had an emotional conversation with his father. When I came out after watching the film at Bhramaramba Theatre, people surrounded me with affection. That is the kind of love and reception our film is receiving. Deewana is a timeless love story that audiences can enjoy anytime. Come to the theatres, and this film will become a lifetime memory. It will remind you of your relationship with your parents. I respect the censor board, but I believe a better decision could have been taken regarding our film. Following the suggestions of Aravind Garu, we planned several premiere shows to build momentum before the morning shows, but due to censor cuts, additional post-production work, and certification delays, we could not conduct them. This is a film meant to be experienced in theatres. With tickets priced at just \u20b9100 in single-screen theatres, we invite everyone to watch it on the big screen. This film revealed a completely new side of me as an actor, and I never imagined I could deliver a performance like this.”<\/span><\/p>\n
