“The Lawyer Investigates the Case Before Presenting It in Court \u2014 That’s What Makes ‘Objection My Lord’ Different. “There is meaning, there is emotion, and I believe people will connect with it,” says Srikanth Meka<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

Telugu ZEE5 is all set to premiere its latest original courtroom thriller, Objection My Lord \u2013 Notary Parasuram Chapter 1, on July 31. Ahead of its streaming debut, the platform hosted a grand preview and media interaction in Hyderabad, where the cast and crew came together to share their experiences of bringing the gripping legal drama to life. Produced by Rajkumar Akella under the banner of Dream House Productions and directed by Santhosh Ayyappan, the series stars Srikanth Meka in the titular role alongside Mukesh Rishi, Ananya Sharmaa, Snehal and Sameer in pivotal roles, with cinematography by Suryaa and music by Arunn Chiluveru. With the first two episodes screened for the gathering, anticipation for the premiere was palpable as the team took the stage.<\/span><\/div>\n

Reflecting on his debut behind the editing table, Editor Kishore said,<\/b><\/span> “Objection My Lord is my debut, Srikanth sir: since childhood I’ve watched his films a lot. Films like Egire Paavurama, Pelli Sandadi, O Chinnadana I rewatch them again and again on YouTube. He’s my favourite hero. This is my debut as an editor; it’s the first time I’ve done a web series. Doing a film with a hero like Srikanth garu, I feel very proud.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Sharing his experience of working on the series, Actor Gemini Suresh said,<\/b> <\/span>“Namaskaram to the elders on the dais, to my media brothers in front of me, and to everyone who has come for this event. Bringing such a serious drama to you wonderfully after a long time requires a strong screenplay and today that screenplay has spoken. Thank you so much. I have three things: to one I say thanks, to another all the best, and to another I remain indebted. To the ZEE Telugu team, thank you. To the director who shaped this project so beautifully, all the best. And why do I say I’m indebted? In many films we<\/span> play many roles, but in some places we learn a great deal. During this shoot I learnt a lot, especially watching Srikanth anna. The actors of this generation have so much to learn from him  I learnt it myself, which is why I’m speaking so strongly. If we started at 9 o’clock, he stood and performed until 9 the next morning, and performed brilliantly in every scene. Srikanth anna is the only hero to complete 100 films; that fortune is his alone. Thank you so much, anna, for the chance to work with you. My namaskaram to our judge garu in the court, and thanks for your patience. Sameer anna, we’ve done many films together and I got to travel more days with him on this one. Mukesh sir glad, glad working with you, I’m very happy. Speaking about composing the music under a demanding schedule, Music Director Arunn Chiluveru said,<\/b><\/span> “Hi, namaste, everyone. First of all I have to thank Suryaa garu. He called me at the end of June and said we’re doing this, *Objection My Lord*,. But my one condition was as shooting starts here, I should start composing the music too. And after the shoot, for the re-recording I only had one week, so it was an almost impossible task. Srikanth garu is doing it, and also Mukesh garu so it was even more challenging for me. I accepted it. So thank you so much, Suryaa garu, and Santhosh sir, and also Rajkumar garu. I thank everyone for this opportunity, thanks for choosing me. Also, when I was recording, not a single cue was questioned; they left it completely to me, which I consider an advantage. So thanks for everything, madam.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking about his role and his long association with the platform, Actor Rajasekhar said,<\/b><\/span> “Good evening to everyone. As usual, what I say in every meeting: the name my parents gave me is Rajasekhar, but the name Goddess Kalamma blessed me with is Subhodayam Subbarao, as you all know. For that second name in the industry, I’ll always remain indebted to Koratala Siva garu. Coming to this project we’ve already seen two episodes, so I don’t need to specifically describe the output or content. It’s a courtroom-drama project. It’s a bit of a different, contrasting character for me, moving away from the regular emotional, deep roles so it’s better you watch it on screen. One more thing: usually artists are told about a character, and due to so many reasons it doesn’t finally materialise. There was one character decided for me; then, specifically, they called me again and gave another character. Whatever the character, a character is a character. Thank you for remembering me and offering another. I think this is my fifth series with ZEE5. Thank you, and congratulations, all the best to the entire cast and group.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Sharing his experience of portraying Narayana, Actor Harish Chandra said,<\/b> <\/span>“My namaskaram to the media friends, to the audience here, and especially there are two people I must thank: the director, Santhosh Ayyappan garu, and Suryaa garu. Without those two here, I wouldn’t be here. Besides that, acting beside my favourite actor Srikanth garu gives me great joy. In this series my role is challenging from beginning to end, involving multiple emotions, not just one or two. I even feared whether I could do it, but the director motivated me at every moment, immersed me in the character, and drew from me whatever he needed. This is a very heartbreaking role. After watching this web series, no one will forget this character; it will haunt everyone. I especially thank the ZEE team, because however many films and good roles I’ve done in my life, this is my first web series a continuity of character, different emotions, a role that gave me complete fulfilment as an actor. This web series will delight you all; I firmly believe it will become number one on ZEE. It’s not a web series it’s a web-series film; it’s definitely a film, that’s how grandly they made it. Thanking the ZEE team and producer Rajkumar Akella garu once more may your blessings always be with me; I’m climbing step by step, so bless me like this. Thank you so much.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking about the memorable experience on set, Actor Snehal, who plays Tulasi, said, <\/b><\/span>“Namaskaram to everyone, I’m Snehal. I practised a lot to speak fully in Telugu, but with all this tension it isn’t coming out. So very, very sorry. It’s been ten years since I joined the industry, and in these ten years, this is the first time I’ve enjoyed a set this much. Thank you, Suryaa sir, Santhosh sir and Rajkumar sir, and all of the actors, to make our set such a positive place to be in. It was a pleasure to share the screen with Srikanth sir and Mukesh sir. I was born and brought up in different parts of North India, and until now my Hindi friends couldn’t properly see my work but this time, because Mukesh sir is in it, they’re all very excited too. I made a lot of friends: Ananya, Greeshma, Rahmath and everyone else. It was a very, very fun experience. Whether I had a shot or not, I’d just be on set and enjoy everything. People who like me already are going to be very proud of my performance in the series, and people who don’t know me are going to fall in love. Thank you.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking about portraying Vedha, Actor Ananya Sharmaa said,<\/b><\/span> “They never made me stand in the witness box on set; they kept me outside so I’m very excited to stand here and speak. First of all, thank you all for coming. Having watched these two episodes, I think you’ve become curious, just as I became very curious when I first read the script. When we watch a suspense film or series, we generally form our theories: this could happen, they could be the villain, they could be the victim. I formed many theories reading this script, but the twists and turns in it exceed all of them. I did not see it coming, and you will also not see it coming. I really enjoyed working on this set. Working with Mukesh sir and Srikanth sir, I was ready for an acting masterclass and expected to learn a lot but as a bonus I got good company and great times, not just with them but also with Snehal, Sameer sir, everyone on set. We worked under a lot of pressure but very happily. And even under that pressure, Santhosh sir, Suryaa sir, Rajkumar sir kept the stress away from us and delivered a very high-quality product without compromising the story; you’ve already seen it. I’m very happy to be part of this project. Portraying a strong character like Vedha makes me proud, and I feel lucky. I’m very proud to be part of Objection My Lord such a meaningful series with a good point and a good message. I hope you like it.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Sharing his experience of the project, Actor Sameer said,<\/b><\/span> “Namaskaram to everyone. “Objection My Lord actually, I’ve done many web series before, but as Harish anna said, this is a web film, it’s not a web series, given the quality, expense, and casting, which the director and producer took forward so carefully. I really thank ZEE5 for giving me this wonderful opportunity to work in this lovely web film. And I’d like to thank the director, Santhosh garu; he catches each and every detail and lets nothing go, regardless of the number of takes. He also changed my getup and hairstyle a little, so I look a bit different, even though I’ve done many cop characters, as you’ve seen. And coming to Mukesh sir we already did the blockbuster Indra together. To my knowledge, this web series would not have been completed without a hero like Srikanth anna. I would call him a producer’s hero and a director’s actor. Because a producer needs a hero who cooperates in every way, and he has that; he catches exactly whatever expression and body language the director wants. Srikanth anna, working with you is always a joy; keep blessing us. Thank you very much, one and all, and the entire crew of Objection My Lord. All the associate directors did a fantastic job. DOP Suryaa sir, the visuals are really amazing and beautiful and the music, after it was added, is on another level. A grand feast awaits you all on the 31st. Enjoy.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of the production team, Executive Producer Arjun said,<\/b><\/span> “My name is Arjun, I’m the executive producer. From the moment this project was decided, our cameraman Suryaa garu, Rajkumar garu, and our director Santhosh garu chased me to push it forward at high speed, and they ran too. Our whole team still hasn’t slept even today; we’ve handed it over to the actors, but we ourselves aren’t sleeping yet in another two days that too will be done. I’ve already done the web series Chadarangam with Srikanth anna before; this is my second project with him thank you, anna. Our producer Rajkumar garu was always on set whenever needed, looking after what everyone needed and pushing me forward, and so we ran. Many people here have probably cursed me over many things and our director too. So, to everyone, thank you, thank you so much.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Expressing gratitude to everyone who made the project possible, Producer Rajkumar Akella said,<\/b><\/span> “Good evening, everyone. Thank you so much, and thanks for coming. First of all, for this project to happen, we’re extremely grateful to the ZEE5 team, because they have placed a lot of faith in us. This was very challenging because completing it in such a short time was a challenge and it’s only because they believed we could pull it off that we’re able to be here today. Then, the greatest strength came from Srikanth garu; once he said okay, we were extremely blessed. After he said okay, we got so much energy and motivation to finish this. And then when we spoke to Mukesh garu, he immediately consented. We were extremely lucky, because even after they agreed, if their dates hadn’t been available due to existing commitments we couldn’t have done it. It’s purely what they call nature conspiring. We got fantastic talent: senior stars like Srikanth garu, guidance from Mukesh garu, and fantastic young talent like Ananya, Snehal, and all the other artists for every single character. It’s not an exaggeration; you’ll see for yourselves, both on screen and off. Whether it’s the editor or the music director, everybody is fantastic. With this series, we have fantastic talents not just for us but for the industry, and we’re extremely lucky to have found them. Most critical Santhosh Ayyappan, the director, and Suryaa: all three of us started this together, so I don’t have to mention them separately. I’m so happy that after Arjun Suravaram we could reunite and do this from then on we always wanted to work together, and now we got this opportunity again, and I’m very grateful for that. Thank you so much.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of the platform, Executive Vice President Jayanth said,<\/b><\/span> “Good evening, everyone. Thank you for coming. I won’t go into the witness box, because exactly about 35 days ago we put Rajkumar garu and Suryaa garu in that box and asked them to deliver on this timeline. From then on, to get us out and win our case, they produced witnesses first they brought Srikanth garu, then Mukesh garu, and finally, at the biggest last moment, they brought a witness who got us out: Chiranjeevi garu. Thank you, thank you so much, Rajkumar garu, because in very little time hardly 31 to 35 days we did this project, including shoot, post-production, pre-production and everything. I’m confident Objection My Lord will create a benchmark in ZEE5’s successful journey. When we were thinking about whom to approach within our timeline, Anu madam immediately said, “Talk to Rajkumar garu,” and Rajkumar garu came within half an hour and took it up. Suryaa has been a great support for this project end-to-end, not just as the DOP; he was part of pre-production, part of the budget discussions, part of everything. Particularly, I want to thank Santhosh, who immediately tightened the screenplay and did three-four days of screenplay work to get to the shoot. And the editor, and the music, everybody delivered. I want to thank Mukesh sir thank you for making this series big with your presence and turning it into a big-screen film. And I want to thank Srikanth garu; he became a judge on ZEE’s family show Drama Juniors, and then immediately for this series, every time we saw the output each day, there was a fear about this character: what would happen if it weren’t Srikanth garu. But Srikanth garu made it, and worked almost 36 to 40 hours continuously, understanding our timelines. Thank you for saving this show like Parasurama. I want to thank everybody: Ananya, Snehal, Sameer garu, and everyone here. From the team, ZEE5 is always thankful and grateful to you for this beautiful team, and we’ll definitely continue our journey; we’ll have much bigger things to do together. Our greatest blessing was Megastar Chiranjeevi garu; the moment we requested him, he stood like our strongest pillar of strength and guided us forward, just as he did during Arjun Suravaram. And this time too, when we said it’s our first OTT, he immediately called us over, hosted us all, and launched the trailer. We are extremely, extremely grateful to Chiranjeevi sir. And here in the direction crew, the whole camera department every single member has given their heart and soul to this film, and every artist has given heart, soul, sweat and blood for this product, thinking with one vision. And I want to thank Hiranmayi, who is the project head, and she has been constantly working 24\/7 for this show; you deserve a great success. Thank you so much.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking about his directorial debut and the making of the series, Director Santhosh Ayyappan said,<\/b><\/span> “Good evening, everyone. I’d like to thank ZEE5 for giving us this opportunity and for trusting us; that is very important. So this month we started this project; on the third we started the shoot, and we completed the shoot in 19 days. And really, thanks to my team, my producer Rajkumar sir without him it is not possible. But one more guy is Suryaa; he is the person for making this project happen, he gave the trust first. In the beginning we had doubts about whether we could do this but we completed it in 19 days, and it releases on the 31st. And without Srikanth garu it is not possible to complete the shoot in 19 days. Every day the call sheet was 9 or 9:30, and we shot for nearly 24 hours in one day. So we requested him, “Sir, can we continue the next day as well?” But he said, “No, we’ll complete this, whatever it is, I will stay, I’m very comfortable here.”And the same thing happened with Mukesh sir also; he said, ‘Let’s complete, no problem, but tonight we can work 24 hours. Suddenly that energy came to us in the middle of the night, after 2 o’clock, and we completed the shoot. So without artist support, without Srikanth garu’s support, it happened. All the artists not only Srikanth garu, Ananya, and Snehal, but each and every artist worked very, very hard; otherwise, completing it in 19 days wouldn’t have been possible. Behind the camera we are there, and behind us Arjun is there, coordinating with everyone, and my editing team thanks to my editing team, especially Kishore in editing, who selected very, very good artists. And Mukesh garu I was wondering how he’s very humble, very down-to-earth; the first time when I saw him I was a little afraid but he made a comfortable position, no, don’t worry, whatever you want I will do it. Every time when I say ‘sir, one more,’ he never says no. And Jayanth garu, thank you so much, for trusting us. And Hiranmayi garu is always behind the call; every message we’re receiving from her is creative actually looking forward to you as a director soon. And Harish Chandra garu I’d like to tell one thing: that name Narayana, that Rajkumar garu suggested; it was my father’s name. Immediately I got connected with him, and he gave a wonderful performance on that day only a few hours were there, we needed to complete the shoot. That police-station scene you saw that very emotional scene, in two hours, how can we complete it, lighting is there but in a single shot he did it, he created the magic; I was shocked, I never saw such a great actor like him. He deserves a better place. And Sameer garu I changed my shot composition after seeing his performance; that type of subtle performance he gave. Gemini Suresh garu, everyone’s very cooperative, never saying no. Those days were like a family. I really, personally miss the set every day; it was like school, college. And thank you for spending time to watch our two episodes. Please watch Objection My Lord on July 31 on ZEE5. Thank you so much.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Headlining the series in the titular role, Actor Srikanth Meka, who plays advocate Parasuram, said,<\/b><\/span> “Namaskaram to everyone. Thank you. First, my namaskaram to all the media friends and everyone who has come here. This is my third web series on ZEE5. Before this I did *Chadarangam* with a political backdrop as a politician; then *Shootout at Alair* as a police officer; and now in *Objection My Lord* as a lawyer three different characters, and playing them makes me very happy. I don’t know why, but I seem to have a strong association with ZEE; I keep going to many shows, doing Drama Juniors, and this web series. Thank you, Jayanth garu, Bhupal Reddy garu, Murali garu, and Hiranmayi garu, who sat on set every day, watching how everyone performed and whether the time was on track. For me, whether it’s a web series or films, there’s no difference; from the first to this third, I feel no difference like watching a film or like doing a film. But here you have to work a bit harder; there’s more difficulty here than in films, with the timings and everything but we did it while enjoying it. A good, performance-oriented character, playing a lawyer in a court drama, requires experience and good timing. Regarding performance, the main thing is that Santhosh garu had clarity about how the character should be, because he’s a very talented director; I’d seen Arjun Suravaram before. He has great clarity and timing, knowing exactly which expression to draw from whom. We proceeded with a pure mind, did what he asked, and finished. Thank you, Santhosh; do even better work. Also, the two main pillars of this are the director and the cameraman, Suryaa. Truly, if they didn’t have clarity this web series wouldn’t have happened. I like doing every shot quickly, at high speed. Because they had clarity, we too got interested: finish this scene, let’s do another quickly, in that mood, at that speed, we went. So thank you, Suryaa garu; you were really a real asset, never missing on quality. I know how important a cameraman is to a film; let’s do many films together again. And Rajkumar garu, always sitting beside us smiling as producer when we’d say, ‘Sorry sir, looks like it got a bit late,’ he’d say it’s fine, let’s do it. I’ve never worked this fast in recent time16 or 17 days generally I’m fast, but I haven’t worked at this speed before. That’s from lack of sleep, from morning onwards, no timings we came in the morning and kept going till the scene finished, and we enjoyed that too. Today, after the output came, I’m very, very happy Objection My Lord will be a good web series, I believe. And many of my artists beside me Ananya, as an assistant lawyer, is a wonderful actress; however much dialogue there is she rattles it off, and she has a lot of patience, which is rare among today’s youngsters; even at 2, 3 o’clock at night she said, let’s do it, sir. And Snehal wonderful performance, in the sentiment character. And Sameer my friend, my brother; we’ve done many films together. He’s a wonderful actor and a good friend. When all of them are on a set, there’s an energy. And Gemini Suresh very energetic. Narayana’s character a wonderful actor; you did it very well. And my co-director Kishore, who supported me fully. Most important is Mukesh; I’d already done a Kannada film with him. He’s not just an actor but a wonderful human being. At first glance you’d think, oh, a villain, but he’s a very pure-hearted person, Mukesh Rishi garu. On those nights, watching him we should feel shy; we’d be the ones asking how much longer, but he’d just sit, saying nothing, and when a dialogue comes he says it and sits down again. Thanks for your support, and thanks to everyone. Thank you, ZEE5, for giving us such a good web series. Chiranjeevi garu also watched it recently and appreciated it a lot, saying, “Very good, very promising.” Thank you, annayya; your support is always with us. Thank you, everyone.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the speeches, the event moved into an engaging media interaction, where journalists posed questions on the making of the series, the performances, the courtroom setting and the adaptation process. The cast and creators responded candidly, offering insights into their preparation, creative choices, and what audiences can expect.<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: We’ve seen many courtroom dramas over the years. Compared to them, what is the conflict in this one what makes it different?<\/b><\/span>
\nSrikanth Meka<\/span>: <\/b>“In Objection My Lord, the difference is that it’s not just a lawyer arguing in court; the lawyer himself does the investigation. Usually the police department does the investigation and takes it to the court, but here the lawyer does it himself and solves the case. That point felt new to me.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: When Parasuram was narrated to you, how did you feel about the character?<\/b><\/span>
\nSrikanth Meka:<\/b><\/span> “It felt different; I’d never done this type of role before. A lawyer investigating a case, understanding the sections, arguing in court all of it felt new. The moment they told me, I thought it would definitely be good and that it suited me perfectly. I usually don’t go near web series unless it’s very important, but Chadarangam, Shootout at Alair and now this gave a very different feel, which is why I did them. I was first worried about the getup a bit of a beard, salt-and-pepper, because of continuity, but doing it fast actually helped the getup.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: This is your third series with ZEE5. Do you think it has the potential for another season?<\/b><\/span>
\nSrikanth Meka:<\/b><\/span> “This subject is a one-season subject. But there is more scope to go forward, because in an investigation, you can keep doing different things. A court drama has that room, taking up another case and solving it in a different way. So it could be made as a series, but for this particular one there isn’t a second part planned. That depends on ZEE5; as of now I don’t know whether it ends with season one or continues. We’ll have to see.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: Arjun Suravaram took a long time to reach audiences, whereas this went from production to streaming in about a month. Did your earlier experience help make that happen?<\/b><\/span>
\nRajkumar Akella:<\/b><\/span> “Definitely all those experiences helped in doing this. Basically, even if we plan, we need date availability, locations, and so many other factors. This time everything aligned. But one thing we understood: if you plan it this way, you can definitely pull off whether a film or a web series perfectly, in limited time, without compromising on quality. That is our learning.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: Since this is an official remake, what major changes have you made for the Telugu version?<\/b><\/span>
\nSrikanth Meka:<\/b><\/span> “Whenever you remake something, it’s good only if you do it better than the original. There are a lot of differences technically and in every way between that one and this. I watched it, and it will definitely be good, because Telugu audiences also need a good subject. That’s why I did it.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: We’ve seen several OTT platforms remake their own content in different languages. What made ZEE5 remake this in Telugu, and shouldn’t the writers get the credit?<\/b><\/span>
\nJayanth:<\/b><\/span> “We’ve seen many other OTT platforms trying to remake their own content on their platform; we saw it on Hotstar, on Prime. There are seven languages overall. But even when we take the remake idea, for each language we completely refresh it to suit us. So, even though we took the idea, this is one of its kind a completely refreshed version of the Tamil version, offering a very new experience while you’re watching. And story credits are given; of course, since it’s the internal team’s idea, the screen writers also have credit, but the initial idea belongs to the internal team, which is why that credit is presented separately.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: In the first two episodes you have lengthy courtroom dialogues packed with legal sections. Did you prepare beforehand, or perform on the spot?<\/b><\/span>
\nSrikanth Meka:<\/strong> <\/span>“I prepared. It’s like when we give a viva or write an important exam in front of faculty we like and respect: we work very hard, we don’t want a single retake, we want to impress. With that mindset I learnt it fast and did it. You watched the first two episodes, so I have more dialogues there, but once Parasuram steps into the courtroom I go silent Vedha goes silent from there it’s a one-man show.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: After 30 Weds 21, which earned you a lot of appreciation, do you think this will bring the same?<\/b><\/span>
\nAnanya Sharmaa:<\/span> <\/b>“I strongly believe it will, because this is one of a kind. 30 Weds 21 had a soul that connected with everyone; this one has that same soul there’s a meaning, an emotion with which people will close the series. So I have high expectations.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: This is your first Telugu web series and your first lawyer character. How did you prepare for it, and why aren’t we seeing you in Telugu films as much lately?<\/b><\/span>
\nMukesh Rishi:<\/strong> <\/span>“This is a good thing you say it loudly. In your question is my answer. I’m ready like a soldier; any time you call me, whatever you want, I’m there to do it. I love this industry because they gave me a lot of love and respect. So whatever they give, I’m ready to do it.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: Many feel Ravi Shankar’s dubbing voice played a big role in your popularity. Have you ever met him and thanked him?<\/b><\/span>
\nMukesh Rishi:<\/strong> <\/span>“I think one of the actor brothers, Sai Kumar sir has done a lot of dubbing for me in the early stage. I met him a couple of times. I’m so happy that people like the voice. It’s only total respect for the cinema, that you like the actor coming from another state, and those roles I’m so happy for that.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: You’ve played the antagonist in many wonderful roles. Can you tell us about your character arc in this one and what attracted you to it?<\/b><\/span>
\nMukesh Rishi:<\/b><\/span> “Yes, as I said in the beginning, I’m very happy. I got this phone call, I spoke with the director sir Santhosh ji; he told me this is a story, you have to play a senior lawyer’s role. Immediately something hit me. I never did this kind of role before, but I can do it; it’s a huge challenge because you have to speak so many lines, and I always believe in challenges. When you are in the ground, you have to take challenges. Some years, some challenges came to me. I don’t know the language, but I know the people; my Telugu sisters and brothers like me and appreciate whatever I do. So I learned this: people fight over language everywhere, but see here, a man comes from another state, speaks a few lines in Telugu, and you all are very happy. This is a huge lesson. Let’s not fight on language. And I must thank ZEE5, Rajkumar*ji, *Santhosh*ji, *Suryaa, for taking me for this character. I really enjoyed playing it, and thank you very much to the whole cast and crew. And I must thank my hero Srikanth ji \u2014 when I saw him standing there at 3 o’clock at night, which is around almost 18 hours, and then I see the director garu and Suryaa alert, they don’t feel any tiredness \u2014 so, Objection My Lord, you believe me, it is worth seeing. Come, everybody, with your family and friends on the 31st night. God bless.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: Lately you’re seen mostly in cop roles again. Are those the ones coming to you, or do you pick them?<\/b><\/span>
\nSameer:<\/b><\/span> “No whatever comes to me, if it’s good, even if it’s the same cop role, I have no objection to doing it. It should be good. But in this, the way the director made me do it is totally different. What I played in this particular series has a bit of a negative shade but you’ll see it. I really, really enjoyed doing it.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: Director garu, ZEE5 gave you a very tight timeline. How did you maintain this quality under so much pressure?<\/b><\/span>
\nSanthosh Ayyappan:<\/strong><\/span> “Teamwork. Without everyone’s support it’s not possible; artist support and technicians all supported well. That’s why it was possible. Court dramas are available on many OTTs now, but we wanted this web series to be very authentic, close to reality. If you see this web series how the lawyers are in the High Court, we followed the same, every section is very close to reality, and the investigation is not filmy either. When you go and meet somebody you get the information, at one place you got a point, they went to another place that authenticity, very close to reality, we tried to make. So the audience will definitely like this. How we are treating the screenplay is very important every episode you will get new information, it will change, it will guide you, it will take you to the next level. So by the sixth, seventh episode, you keep guessing what is this, what is that.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: You’ve done a wide variety of roles. Tell us about your potential arc in this character.<\/b><\/span>
\nMukesh Rishi:<\/strong><\/span> “This is very special. When I heard it, I never did a full-fledged lawyer role before. Maybe I needed a spark to understand this is something different for me, and the good thing is happening \u2014 there was a time when there was a small film, a big film, this film, that film; now all the platforms are the same, giving you challenges. This OTT platform is doing so good a job, they have given us such wonderful stories, wonderful actors in all the languages. So when Santhosh garu told me the line, I said okay sir, thank you very much, I’m ready to do this. I accepted the challenge \u2014 I know some weakness is there, my language weakness but I accept the fact. People are with me; even then I have to give back so that they enjoy, they feel I am there for the story. So I think this challenge is enough for any actor. I really enjoyed working.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: After watching Vakeel Saab, Jai Bhim and now this series, your acting surprised me. How do you take on such roles and update yourself?<\/b><\/span>
\nSrikanth Meka:<\/b><\/span> “Thank you. I simply look for roles that are different from what I’ve already done. If a character gives me something new to perform and has substance, I’m interested \u2014 that’s always been my approach.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: We heard Chiranjeevi garu appreciated you after watching the trailer. How did that feel?<\/b><\/span>
\nSrikanth Meka:<\/b><\/span> “It makes me very happy, because his appreciation is always very special for us he encourages everyone, not just me; whenever anyone does even a little good, he appreciates it and says go further, keep updating. Whenever I have any difficulty, I speak to him, he gives suggestions and we take them. We learnt this hard work from him \u2014 we know how much he works, day and night.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Question: You insist on completing a scene once you start, even if the shoot runs late. Is that your working style?<\/b><\/span>
\nSrikanth Meka:<\/b><\/span> “Yes. Because if you stop a scene in the middle, we don’t know whether the same mood will be there the next day. So once a scene is decided, however late it gets, let’s finish it \u2014 that type of thing we watched and learnt. The same happened the other day: if you stop a scene midway and continue the next day, whether we can get back into those expressions, that mood, we don’t know. So it has to be finished. The inspiration for all this is annayya Chiranjeevi garu; we know how hard he works, shooting until one or two at night, and that inspired us throughout.”<\/span><\/p>\n
