Natural Star Nani and director Srikanth Odela who delivered a powerful mass blockbuster with Dasara have reunited for their second collaboration, The Paradise. Right from the first look of Nani with long braids and a rugged transformation, the film created a massive buzz. With Anirudh Ravichander’s thundering score, a unique Telangana backdrop, and grand production values, expectations were sky high. The film is releasing in theaters on 24th Sep 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Plot:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Paradise revolves around the fight for identity and dignity. The story is about the Sawari sect, an oppressed community living under the iron grip of the tyrant Shikanja Malik (Mohan Babu) even after India’s Independence. They continue to fight for official recognition and for their right to live. How Jadal (Nani), born in this sect, leads their rebellion, what role his mother Sammakka (Sonali Kulkarni), Vikram Manik (Raghav Juyal), Subbulakshmi (Kayadu Lohar), Biryani (Sampoornesh Babu), MLA Shankaranna (Priyadarshi) and the Lawyer (Sathyaraj) play in this emotional and violent battle for existence forms the core of The Paradise.<\/span><\/p>\n

Performances:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This is undoubtedly one of Nani’s most transformative and powerful performances to date. He completely surrenders to the role of Jadal, sporting long braids, a chiseled physique, and Telangana slang. Nani is brilliant in both ends of the spectrum, he is terrifyingly intense in action blocks and deeply vulnerable in emotional scenes with his mother.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mohan Babu is a revelation as Shikanja Malik. He looks every inch menacing and brings a vintage villainous aura that is rarely seen these days. His dialogue delivery and commanding presence make the conflict highly engaging.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sonali Kulkarni as Sammakka is the soul of the film. She delivers a restrained yet heart wrenching performance and her mother – son scenes with Nani are the biggest emotional pillar. Raghav Juyal makes a confident Tollywood debut with his quirky mannerisms, while Priyadarshi as MLA Shankaranna leaves a strong mark with his natural timing. Kayadu Lohar adds glamour and charm to the narrative. Sathyaraj brings dignity to his brief role and Sampoornesh Babu surprises in a completely different avatar.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first half of The Paradise is brilliantly constructed. Srikanth Odela sets up the world of the Sawari sect with great intensity and the introduction of Jadal is a whistle worthy theatrical moment. The film maintains a strong grip with the mother – son sentiment and the hero-villain conflict. The romantic track provides a nice breather and the pre interval block is staged on a massive scale, perfectly setting up the second half with high stakes.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second half becomes even more powerful as Jadal takes a decisive stand for his people. The narrative dives deeper into the dilemma of fighting for recognition vs fighting for survival. While there are some routine moments, and elaborative fight sequences, the emotional payoff and the high octane confrontations keep you completely invested till the end.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the technical front, The Paradise is top notch. Anirudh Ravichander is the backbone of the film with his pulsating background score that elevates every elevation to the next level, along with two foot tapping songs shot beautifully. Cinematographer Sai captures the raw and rustic Telangana landscape with natural brilliance. Naveen Nooli’s editing keeps the proceedings tight, and the dialogues are hard hitting. Production values by SLV Cinemas are grand and uncompromised. Overall, The Paradise is a sincere, massy and emotional entertainer that showcases Nani in a never seen before mass avatar and is a must watch on the big screen.<\/span><\/p>\n
