Directed by Ramesh Bandireddy, written by Nandu Savirgana and produced by Krishna Kommalapati under Arunachala Creations, the film stars teenage sensations Harsh Roshan and Nakshatra in the lead, supported by Ajay, Saranya, Rajkumar Kasireddy and Deepak.

Plot

The plot is beautifully simple and relatable. Ramu (Harsh Roshan), a middle class boy, falls deeply in love with his classmate Asha (Nakshatra), who comes from a wealthy family. Initially hesitant, Asha slowly warms up to his sincere and persistent pursuit, and their innocent college friendship blossoms into first love. In a moment of immature passion, they get intimate, which leads to an unexpected pregnancy scare. The real story begins after that. How do two teenagers, who still hide their report cards from parents, handle such a huge responsibility? How they try to hide it, the turmoil it creates in their families and the impact it leaves on their surroundings forms the emotional crux. The film stays grounded and never sensationalizes the issue.

Performances

Harsh Roshan is absolutely apt and natural as Ramu. He perfectly captures the body language of a young adult, impulsive, romantic, scared and responsible all at once. His transformation from a carefree lover boy in the first half to a boy trying to act like a man in the second half is portrayed with a lot of sincerity and subtlety. He makes you root for him.

Nakshatra delivers a very good and emotionally resonant performance as Asha. She brings a wonderful mix of innocence, vulnerability and inner strength. Even though her character goes through a limited emotional arc of fear and anxiety in the second half, she performs those emotions with such honesty that you feel her pain. Her chemistry with Harsh Roshan is the soul of the film, fresh, innocent and highly believable.

Senior actors Ajay and Saranya Pradeep provide solid support. They don’t play loud parents but portray concerned adults dealing with a delicate situation with maturity. Especially, Actor Ajay delivers a settled and mature performance as Medical Shop Murthy, the heroine’s father. He brings a natural dignity and emotional depth to the character without overplaying the role. Rajkumar Kasireddy adds authenticity to the college atmosphere. Overall, the casting feels perfect for this age specific story.

Highlights

Harsh Roshan & Nakshatra Chemistry

Actor Ajay Settled Act

Honest Storytelling

Soulful Music

Neat Cinematography

Drawbacks

Minor Predictability

Slight Drags

Analysis

The first hour of Thella Kaagitham is thoroughly enjoyable and highly relatable. Director Ramesh Bandireddy handles the young adult romance with great sensitivity, showing their immaturity not as a flaw but as a reality of that age. The cute pursuits, college banter and innocent love portions are written lightly and appeal instantly. The second hour shifts gears into a more emotional and responsible zone. Instead of losing novelty, it bravely stays with the consequences, showing the fear, confusion and social pressure the couple faces. The slight dragging in mid portions is actually intentional to make the audience feel the weight of their indecisiveness, which is exactly what the title Thella Kaagitham signifies.

On the technical front, the film is a winner. Vijai Bulganin’s music is soulful and apt, with two melodious songs that stay with you and a background score that underlines the emotions without overpowering them. KV Guhan’s cinematography is a major highlight, he captures the college, the homes and the intimate moments with a soft, aesthetic touch, especially in the outdoor portions. Karthika Srinivas’s editing keeps the narrative focused and clean. Writer Nandu Savirgana deserves applause for writing a socially relevant and courageous story. Production values by Krishna Kommalapati are neat and supportive. In conclusion, Thella Kaagitham is not just a teenage love story, it is a white paper on young responsibility that succeeds with honesty.

Rating: 3.5 / 5

Bottom-line: A Brave, Honest and Heartfelt Take On Young Love

Thella Kaagitham Movie Review Movie: Thella Kaagitham Release Date: 2 October 2026 CBFC Rating: UA Run-time: 2h 36m Cast: Harsh Roshan, Nakshatra, Ajay, Saranya, Rajkumar Kasireddy Writer: Nandu Savirgana Editor: Karthika Srinivas Music: Vijai Bulganin Cinematography: KV Guhan Producer: Krishna Kommalapati Director: Ramesh Bandireddy Thella Kaagitham, which is releasing on October 2, 2026, arrives with […]

[24,11,14,17
898,69040,8609,70569,71709
29288,41801
post-578844","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-movies","category-news","category-reviews","category-slideshow","tag-ajay","tag-harsh-roshan","tag-nakshatra","tag-thella-kaagitham","tag-thella-kaagitham-movie-review-rating
["GET
