Set in rural Anakapalli, Anakapalli is a film that has arrived with strong buzz as a promising emotional and intense rural drama. Prominent director TrinadhaRao Nakkina has turned producer for this film under his Nakkina Narratives banner along with Bhavyasri Movie Makers, with Kandregula Naidu and Kandregula Kumar Raja as co-producers. The film has Vikram Sahidev, son of popular producer Lagadapati Sridhar, as a hero, and Khagesh Thammineni as director. The early audience and media feedback has been highly positive, with producers and early reviewers praising the unpredictable interval twists and the emotional climax. <\/span><\/p>\n

Plot<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The story follows a young man Surya played by Vikram Sahidev from Anakapalli who gets pulled into an underworld crime syndicate controlled by a fierce gangster Suyodhana (Tarak Ponnappa). Born in a simple middle class family, he dreams of a peaceful life, but circumstances and loyalty push him into the world of power and crime. His journey in the underworld is intense and raw, filled with action and emotional conflicts.<\/span><\/p>\n

When love played by Sadhya Vasishta enters his life, everything changes. His relationship with the heroine brings softness to his rugged life, but also creates a heavy conflict between power, loyalty, and his personal dreams. Should he continue in the crime world for power and loyalty to his boss, or should he choose love and his dream of a normal life? How he fights this internal and external battle and what he chooses forms the rest of the story, leading to a powerful pre climax and a highly emotional climax.<\/span><\/p>\n

Performances<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The biggest strength of Anakapalli is undoubtedly its Hero, Vikram Sahidev, and his performance is the heart of the film. <\/span>Vikram has done complete justice to his role with matured acting. He looks every inch like a rugged youth from Anakapalli, his body language, dialogue delivery and screen presence are highly confident. In action sequences he is energetic and powerful, while in love scenes and emotional mother sentiment scenes, he shows great depth and subtlety. <\/span><\/p>\n

Tarak Ponnappa, after Pushpa 2, once again goes crazy in his villain role and delivers a terrific performance as the fierce gangster. He is menacing and stylish, making the hero-villain conflict very engaging. Sandhya Vashista as the heroine is charming. Her love and chemistry scenes with Vikram have worked out very well and give the film a beautiful romantic touch. Indraja and Sangeetha Krish as mother figures are excellent, their emotional dialogues are getting whistles in theatres. Trinath Rao Nakkina, Kandregula Naidu, Nandini Rai, Mahboob Basha and Vadlamani Srinivas all have done justice to their roles and the performances stand as a big pillar for the film.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first half of the film is entertaining and sets up the world perfectly. Director Khagesh Thammineni establishes the rural nativity of Anakapalli, the hero’s family background, and the love track in a very engaging way. The love scenes, songs, and light hearted moments are attractive and create good impact, taking the story forward smoothly while also hinting at the dark underworld that awaits. The interval twist is unpredictable and gives a solid high.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second half turns even more interesting and intense. The film shifts from love to loyalty and conflict, with the underworld drama, mother sentiment dialogues and powerful confrontations taking center stage. The pre climax gives a great high and the emotional climax has worked out beautifully for the audience. On the technical front, the film shines with rich Production Values. The producers have not compromised anywhere, the rural backdrop looks authentic and grand, and the entire film has a polished look. The BGM is very good and elevates both romantic and action scenes. Cinematography captures the rustic flavor well, and editing keeps it crisp. Overall, Anakapalli is an entertaining film with love, emotion and action that you can enjoy with friends this weekend in theatres.<\/span><\/p>\n
