Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are playing the lead roles in the highly anticipated pan-India film \u201cRanabaali\u201d, directed by Rahul Sankrityan. Presented by T-Series and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, the film is being mounted on a huge budget. \u201cRanabaali\u201d is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release on October 16, on the occasion of Vijayadashami. The grand trailer launch event of the film was held today in Hyderabad. Speaking at the event,<\/span><\/p>\n

Producer Naveen Yerneni <\/span>said, \u201cWe believe you all liked the trailer of our film \u2018Ranabaali\u2019. We are very happy that such a great story came to us. The moment Rahul narrated the story, we were extremely excited. He has made the film even better than the way he narrated the story to us. This is a perfect movie for Vijay. He has shown his versatility as an actor in this film. We feel fortunate that Vijay and Rashmika are acting together in our production after their marriage. Every actor has performed extremely well in the movie. \u2018Ranabaali\u2019 will be a wonderful experience for the audience. It is a rare story, and everyone will love the film. I request all of you to come to theatres and watch our film on October 16.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Producer Ravi Shankar<\/span> said, \u201cOur director Rahul did extensive research, collected a lot of details and made this film with tremendous dedication. He worked extremely hard for this movie. Every detail related to the backdrop and story will look authentic in the film. While watching \u2018Ranabaali\u2019, you will completely enter the world of the movie. Rahul worked tirelessly to perfect this story. He spent nearly two years continuously working from the office. After watching the final copy of the movie, all of us were extremely satisfied and happy. The movie has come out very well.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cVijay put in tremendous effort for this film. He transformed himself into Ranabaali and even learned horse riding. I strongly believe he will reach a much bigger level with this movie. The way Vijay performed in the Rayalaseema slang and the detailing he brought into the character\u2019s behaviour are extraordinary. Rashmika has performed wonderfully as our Jayamma. She has been associated with our banner through films like \u2018Dear Comrade\u2019 and \u2018Pushpa\u2019, and we are very happy to continue that association.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAll the technicians have delivered a high-quality output. You will have an extraordinary experience watching the film on October 16. We have travelled with Vijay for nearly eight years. He is an amazing person. He is very soft-spoken and a genuinely good human being. Some people are intentionally spreading negativity about him on social media. This boy is a very good person, so why are you doing such things? Please appreciate the effort he puts into his films.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf you don\u2019t like any Vijay film, that is your choice. But even before we released the trailer, some people started spreading negativity saying that this is a British-period story and questioning whether such films would work. You are watching Vijay from a distance. We have been observing him closely for several years. He speaks only about his films and his characters. He does not speak about anyone else or interfere in anyone\u2019s matters. Vijay has no world beyond his cinema.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI request everyone to stop spreading negativity about such a hero. Think positively about Vijay and everything will look positive. The film is every bit as grand and high in quality as the trailer. You are going to watch a super-duper hit film like \u2018Ranabaali\u2019 in theatres on October 16.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Director Rahul Sankrityan<\/span> said, \u201cIt has been many years since I made a film. I took this much time because I wanted to bring a great film before you. I am proudly presenting \u2018Ranabaali\u2019 to you. After \u2018Shyam Singha Roy\u2019, when I was thinking about what kind of film I should make next, a Burrakatha came to me. In those days, when there were no films, the stories of heroes and warriors were passed on to people through Burrakathas. Those stories travelled from one generation to another.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen such a warrior\u2019s story came to me in the form of a Burrakatha, I was shocked after hearing it. The warrior I heard about spoke to gods, fought demons, rode horses and participated in huge battles. He was a warrior from Rayalaseema. I decided right then that I wanted to make a film like this. I wanted to tell our Telugu audience a story with such great emotions, and that is how I started \u2018Ranabaali\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhile thinking about what content I should tell through this story, I started studying the history of Rayalaseema. That is when I came to know about the famine. I learned that the famine was connected to Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra, parts of Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Mysore. It was one massive famine that affected all these regions. It was called the Great South Indian Madras Famine, which lasted for two years.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI was shocked to learn that nearly one crore people died of starvation in just two years. I wondered whether this was really possible. If this was true, I questioned why this famine was not mentioned in our textbooks. I started researching it. I read numerous books, travelled to several places and met many historians. I learned that this famine was indeed a historical reality. That was when I decided that this would be the content of my next film. I felt this was a story that needed to be told to the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI had to make a film for Mythri Movie Makers. I presented the backdrop, character and world of this story to producer Ravi Garu in a structured manner, and he liked it and gave me tremendous support. This story required a power-packed actor. I wanted the image of a warrior from a Chandamama story, holding a sword and riding a horse. When I thought about who could put in this much time, hard work and effort, I could not see anyone other than Vijay Deverakonda.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cVijay liked my idea. He also has an interest in history. He believed, along with me, that this was a story that needed to be told to the world. From then onwards, our journey for \u2018Ranabaali\u2019 began. We worked for four years on this film, and we are bringing it before you on October 16.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cToday, if you order food online, it reaches you in five minutes. But if one crore of our ancestors died simply because they could not get food, imagine how terrible that was. This film was born out of that anger and anguish. \u2018Ranabaali\u2019 will be like a war. I proudly say that we are going to give you a great cinematic experience.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
