Bollywood’s star actor Shahid Kapoor has now chosen the remake path to score hits. After scoring his career’s biggest hit with Arjun Reddy’s remake Kabir Singh, Shahid is now taking Telugu hit Jersey to Bollywood. Gautham Tinnanuri, who directed the original, is also helming the remake version. The shoot of this film went on floors recently.
The makers have roped in Shahid Kapoor’s father Pankaj Kapoor to play a key role in the film. Pankaj will reprise the role played by Satyaraj in the original. He essays the role of the protagonist’s mentor in the film. Both Shahid and Pankaj were last seen together in the 2014 film Shaandaar. It will be good to see them together once again and their onscreen chemistry will definitely melt the hearts of the audiences.
Super 30 fame Mrunal Thakur is playing the female lead role in this film. Jersey traces the story of a middle-aged man who leaves a cricketing career for his family. He makes a comeback again for his son.
