Senior PRO Venugopal Launches Telugu Cinema Charitra Website to Preserve Film History
Senior PRO and journalist L. Venugopal, who has been associated with Pawan Kalyan since Gokulamlo Seetha, has launched Telugu Cinema Charitra, a dedicated platform to document and preserve the history of Telugu cinema. With over three decades of experience in the film industry, he aims to make valuable information about Telugu films and personalities accessible to cinema lovers.
Venugopal initially started documenting Telugu cinema through his blog, sharing articles, rare archival information and interesting stories about films, actors, directors, technicians and other industry personalities. The initiative gradually developed into a dedicated website. The platform also features information covering Telugu cinema’s journey since 1932, along with articles and contributions from several journalists.
In another important development, Venugopal has brought his two websites under one umbrella. His earlier website, VenugopalPro.com, has now been incorporated into Telugu Cinema Charitra through a dedicated section titled ‘Venugopal PRO Works’. The section features details of films he handles as a PRO, along with publicity-related updates and information. The website currently features over 1,500 stories across 50 categories.
Venugopal has expressed his gratitude to the journalists and film personalities who have supported his journey and contributed valuable material over the years. He has also invited readers, researchers and Telugu cinema enthusiasts worldwide to visit www.telugucinemacharitra.com and share their feedback and suggestions. The initiative is expected to serve as a useful digital archive for future generations.
