TFDA (Telugu Film Directors Association) has celebrated its second year ‘Directors Day’ yesterday in Hyderabad and Megastar Chiranjeevi has done the honors of being the special guest to the event. A good number of senior directors, young directors, TFDA core members have participated in the celebration and Chiranjeevi has spent two hours with the directors enjoying the fun event.
At the end of the Director Day celebrations, Chiranjeevi has announced a donation of 25 lakhs to the Telugu Film Directors Association trust. Then two more surprise donation announcements have been made at the event. Senior director Raghavendra Rao has announced 25 lakhs and director S.S.Rajamouli have also announced a whopping 50 lakhs to the TFDA trust. A grand total of 1 crore donation is given by the Tollywood bigwigs to the trust of Telugu Film Directors Association.
A lot of entertainment activities and a couple of funny skits are performed by the Telugu directors to make it a memorable event. A comedy skit performed by director Harish Shankar and director Anil Ravipudi has evoked a lot of fun and entertained everyone at the event. In the memory of late legendary director Dasari Narayana Rao, on the occasion of director birth anniversary “Director Day” celebration started a year back. Dasari Narayana Rao was one of the founder members of Telugu Film Directors Association and as a mark of respect for his commendable work in TFI, Director Day is celebrated every year on his birthday.
