Story:

In-article leaderboard

Devaraj (Vivan Bhatena) has two ambitions in his life, become an MLA and kill Lucky (Mehreen). Raja aka Raja The Great (Ravi Teja) is given the assignment to save her life by IG. How Raja (Ravi Teja) rescues her by taking on a powerful Devraj (Vivan Bhatena) is the story of the film.

Performances:

Ravi Teja plays a blind guy with perfection keeping all the mass sensibilities in mind. The comic timing and incredible energy need not be mentioned specially. They are fantastic to watch on the big screen. Director Anil Ravipudi makes full use of it and presents a highly stylized Ravi Teja on-screen with all his mannerisms intact.

Mehreen looks lovely and acts beautifully. Her character is vastly different from the last outing which shows she has got new dimension as an actor.

Radhika, Prakash Raj, and Sampath play crucial roles but have the small runtime. Radhika’s role is meatier among the three. Vivaan Bhatena makes an impactful debut in Telugu cinema, playing the staple funny villain in all its glory. Srinivas Reddy plays the perfect sidekick to hero.

Positives:

Entertainment
Ravi Teja
First Half
Interval

Negatives:

Predictable and Routine Story

Analysis:

Anil Ravipudi is again back with a rollicking commercial entertainer. He sets the premise at the very beginning itself. He then puts all the pieces together, one by one, filled with equal doses of action and entertainment.

The first half of the movie is entertainment with the hero establishment as blind and the Darjeeling episode providing them aplenty. The hero and heroine track is established neatly and in a straightforward manner without too much of dragging. The focus shifts towards the action at interval mark, and it continues that way majorly in the second half.

There are entertaining segments in the second half too with few laugh out loud sequences, but overall the mood is that of action and a solid faceoff between the hero and villain. The ending is perfect with all the mass elements coming together to create a punch.

Sai Karthik’s songs are slightly underwhelming, but the background score is superb. Mohan Krishna’s cinematography is excellent. Tammiraju’s editing is sharp. The production values by Dil Raju are fantastic.

Bottom-line: Out & Out Mass Entertainer

Rating: 3/5
