In the Telugu digital media landscape, one name is currently making waves. With soaring expectations and aspirations, this young man is shining bright — he is none other than Sura Rajeshwara Rao. Usually, those who appear on-screen come with a strong background. But Rajesh’s journey is entirely different. Rajesh hails from Kinthali village, Ponduru Mandal, in the Srikakulam district. His father is a farmer, his mother a homemaker, and his elder brother supported the family through daily labor. Despite their hardships, the family gave their all to ensure Rajesh completed his degree. Even during his student days, Rajesh set high goals for himself — the first being to become a Sub-Inspector. He pursued this dream with great determination, attempting the exam twice. Notably, during the 2016–18 batch, he cleared both the prelims and ground tests. Just when everything seemed on track, he missed the final selection in the mains exam by just one mark. Though this was a heartbreaking setback, it only strengthened his resolve to move forward in life.
From 2018 to 2020, Rajesh worked as a Physical Education Teacher (PET) at a school. He spent those two years with great satisfaction. However, the COVID-19 pandemic caused him to lose this job, bringing life back to square one. Then, in 2020, through a friend, he stepped into the media industry. This new world threw several challenges his way. The first year was especially difficult, but his determination and eagerness to learn kept him going. Breaking through those early struggles, he eventually got a small opportunity — he joined Raj Music and Visa TV as a Video Jockey (VJ).
Over the next two years, Rajesh’s career flourished. Conducting celebrity interviews and hosting podcasts, he carved out a unique identity for himself. With his speaking style and insightful analysis, he grew into a prominent digital anchor. He achieved many successes and became a source of pride for both his family and his village. Yet, despite all the recognition, there remains a void in his heart. Constant questions from his parents — “When will you settle down?” and from villagers — “You’re doing so well, why haven’t you received bigger recognition yet?” continue to weigh on him.
