Analysis:
Audience expect a full-on comedy entertainer from an Allari Naresh’s film and especially when it is promoted like one. ‘Aa Okkati Adakku’ provides laughs for sure but only to some extent. It majorly deals with marriage issues facing today by the youth and modern families. It explores about issues surrounding matrimony in society today. All these were discussed in a serious tone and the intent is also noble.
While the first half has a breezy narration filled with comedy, the film shifts to a serious tone in the second half and even the comedy gets backseat while discussing about problems of marriage. But, they were well written and executed. The climax could have been better.
Director Malli Ankam’s tries to blend comedy with a social message. He has succeeded in his attempt to some extent too. The film exposes wrongdoings of matrimonial platforms. If he took more care about comedy, the film would have been in another league. Abburi Ravi’s dialogues are contemporary. Cinematography by Suryaa and music by Gopi Sundar are impressive. Editing by Chota K Prasad could have been better. The production values are top class.
Rating: 3/5
Bottom-line: An Enjoyable Entertainer With A Relevant Message
