Subhash finds a conspiracy and finds out that there is someone bigger behind all these killings. How Subhash uncovers and eliminates the villain forms the rest of the story.
Vishal is known for his Intense Action roles. He did a similar part in ‘Action’ too but with a higher dose of stunts and action. Vishal aced in performing breathtaking stunts and is a major attraction for this film. He is impressive as a man on a mission to avenge the death of his loved ones.
Tamannah too did some stunts along with Vishal, and she did quite well. She looks super hot, smashing in songs and added glamour to this action thriller. Aishwarya Lekshmi who did the role of Vishal’s love interest and Akanksha Puri as a super hot professional killer, are good in their parts.
Ramki, Sayaji Shinde, Yogi Babu, Kabir Duhan Singh are adequate and did their part.
Lavish Production Values
The screenplay could have been better
The film starts well with an impressive political setup. Director Sundar C has kept the momentum going by handling the suspense element very well. They are very classily done without losing the mass touch at the same time. The action sequences which come in between made it more intriguing. The interval Chase sequence is terrific and is one of the main highlights of the film. This can be termed as the best-conceived action sequence in recent times.
The second half starts well, and things take an exciting turn with the entry of Tamannah. But, the film becomes slow at times. A tighter screenplay would have made this second half more exciting. Things start falling in place once the story shifts to Pakistan. The pre-climax and climax have been handled well and ends the film on a good note. Rap song crooned by Rana Daggubati is an added attraction to the film.
Background Music by Hip-hop Thamizha complemented the action scenes, but, songs could have been better. Dudley’s cinematography is stunning. He has captured the exotic locales superbly and added to the grandeur of the film. Action choreographers deserve a special mention. They did fantastic work. Editing by Sreekanth is decent. Production values are lavish and top-notch. The quality of making is evident in every scene of the film. Producer Srinivas Adepu is appreciable for his efforts to bring in the film to Telugu on his Karthikeya Cinemas banner with neat dubbing and quality.
‘Action’ looks stunning on the scale of a Hollywood film which has been made with 60 crores budget within 88 days. Hats off to Vishal for delivering a Terrific ‘Action’ Thriller.
Bottom-Line: Power-Packed ‘Action’ Thriller
