Actress Mahanati Keerthy Suresh recently won the National Award for Best Actress, for her exemplary performance in the film Mahanati. Keerthy Suresh just went into the skin of Savitri in the legendary actress’s biopic. Keerthy deserves such a big award for such a brilliant performance. Keerthy recently received the award in Delhi from the hands of Vice-President, Venkaiah Naidu.
Speaking about her experience of working for Mahanati, Keerthy said that it was emotionally draining. She said that very rarely you get connected to the roles you play and Mahanati is one of them. When she realized that she is playing the role of Savitri, Keerthy started watching her films, reading her biographies and also met her family members. The more she came to know about Savitri, the more she started connecting to the legendary actress. Keerthy also said that she realized that there are many similarities between both of them.
Mahanati Keerthy Suresh also added that she has been feeling the pressure ever since she took up Mahanati. Since then, she has become more choosy in picking up the scripts. The Agnyathavaasi actress thinks that it is the best time to experiment with her roles. Currently, Keerthy is acting in films like Miss India, Good Luck Sakhi, Thalaivar 168 and Maidaan.
