Story :
Ananth (Adavi Sesh) loves Deepika (Eesha Rebba). Vijay (Srinivas Avasarala) loves Maaya (Aditi Myankal). Vijay and Deepika are siblings. Deepika’s father hates Ananth and Maaya’s dad is sworn enemy of Vijay’s father. What happens when Srichilipi (Vennela Kishore) is thrown into the mix, is the overall story of the film.
Performances :
The three men in the film Adavi Sesh, Srinivas Avasarala, and Vennela Kishore are together the main leads of the film, running the movie on their shoulders. Each has an equally important role and they all shine. Vennela Kishore specially stands out due to hilarious characterization.
Eesha Rebba and Aditi Myankal play the female leads. Among the two Eesha get a proper female lead role. She has scenes with all the male star case, and she holds her own against them all.
Tanikella Bharani plays his character very loud and still manages to tickle the funny bones. The rest are apt for their parts.

Analysis :
Critically acclaimed director Mohankrishna Indraganti is back with a new type of movie. It is a comedy film in spirit but is vastly different from Astha Chamma, one of his earlier movies. This is way louder for starters and needs the actors to be in different pitch all the time.
Right from the beginning the director sets the tone perfectly and keeps that up till the very end. This consistency in narration and strong writing is half the work done for the maker. The actors make the other half work. All the actors irrespective of their length are adequate to the role they have been chosen to play. Vennela Kishore, of course, shines above everyone else.
Both the halves are short and crisp and engaging. There is a bit of repetition, but that is alright given the scope of the subject. Overall, Ami Tumi is a well directed and executed comedy which works all the way.
Mani Sharma stands out for his background music rather than songs. The cinematography by PG Vinda is good. Editing is excellent. Production values are superb for this small scale film.
Bottom-line : A Whacky Comedy That Works
