These days, the Telugu filmmakers are proving their mettle across the country and giving a tough time to the makers of Bollywood. At first, it was SS Rajamouli who made India’s biggest blockbuster Baahubali and took the standards of Telugu cinema to the next level. Then, it is Sandeep Reddy Vanga who scored 2019’s biggest Hindi blockbuster, Kabir Singh.
Now, another Telugu director has proved his mettle in the land of Hindi Cinema. He is none other than Deva Katta, who made Prassthanam, which is an official remake of his 2010 hit of the same name. The Sai Kumar and Sharwanand roles from the original are reprised by Sanjay Dutt and Ali Fazal respectively, in this film.
Prassthanam is a faithful remake of its original and Deva Katta has stuck to the point he wanted to deliver and did it without any deviations. Sanjay Dutt’s acting is being praised by everyone and it is being termed as one of his best works of late. On the whole, it is good to see another Telugu director proving his talent on a national stage.
