Performances

Nani gave a top-notch performance as Sundar Prasad in Ante Sundaraniki. He is totally in his elements. He is too good in comedy scenes with superb comic timing as well as in emotional scenes too. He showed his helplessness, frustration without missing the charm of innocence. This is one of his finest performances in his career.

Naresh VK deserves a special mention who played as a conservative father to Nani. His experience is at display while playing the role with much ease and his scenes with Nani are one of the major highlights of the film. Without Any Doubt This Is VK Naresh’s Best Performence Till Date .

Nazriya looks pretty and does well in emotional scenes. She shares a very good chemistry and makes a very good pair with Nani. They both look lovely onscreen. Rohini, Nadhiya, Harshavardhan are adequate and did their parts well.

Analysis

Director Vivek Athreya is known for breezy entertainers once again did his thing with superb writing for Ante Sundaraniki. The first half takes its time to establish the characters. But, the entertainment factor which is there throughout the film covers it up. Childhood story of Nani and Nazriya feels stretched a bit but the usage of these characters in later part is innovative idea. The main elements which were kept under wraps starts unfolding during the interval rising the curiosity about the second half.

The second half is a rollercoaster ride mixed with comedy and emotions perfectly. The problems faced by the lead pair and how their families react to it has been engagingly narrated in a humorous manner. The emotional quotient is also worked out very well making it a wholesome film. Vivek Athreya’s impressive screenplay also helped in maintaining the momentum till the end. Music by Vivek Sagar is good and his BGM gave a fresh feel to the ongoing scenes. Production values by Mythri Movie Makers are top class.
