Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi is a mass entertainer that has generated significant buzz due to the presence of Kalyan Ram and Vijayashanthi. The film marks the debut of Pradeep Chilukuri as the director, and the promotions, along with Young Tiger NTR’s speech during the pre-release event, elevated expectations. Let’s dive into the film’s story, performances, and technical aspects to see if it lives up to the hype.
Plot
The story revolves around a sincere and honest female police officer, Vyjayanthi (Vijayashanthi), who fights adversaries while protecting her son, Arjun (Kalyan Ram). Arjun wields immense power and control over the city of Vizag, and the people are surprisingly happy with it. The film explores the reasons behind this phenomenon, the connection between Arjun’s mother and wife, Chitra (Sariee Manjrekar), and the role of Pathan (Sohail Khan) as the antagonist.
Performances
Kalyan Ram is at his energetic best, delivering dialogues with ease and showcasing variations in body language according to the situation. He showed good emotions and expressions, making his character believable. Vijayashanthi came up with an intense performance, enacting high-octane action scenes easily and bringing in her experience to elevate scenes with her dialogue delivery, expressions, and emotions.
Srikanth delivered a spirited performance, complementing Kalyan Ram and Vijayashanthi. Sohail Khan is adequate as antagonist but his character arc was not sketched properly, and Saiee Manjrekar looked beautiful but didn’t get scope to showcase her acting talent.

Analysis
Director Pradeep Chulukuri starts narration with a powerful action-packed scene, and starts off the film interestingly. But, as the story progresses, it turned out to be predictable. But, the strong performances from Kalyan Ram, Vijayashanthi, and Srikanth, the film holds well. Though the film treads a familiar treatment. It works with strong emotions, mother-son sentiment, and a shocking climax.
Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi is a good mass entertainer but lacks a strong antagonist. The background score by Ajaneesh Loknath elevated the scenes to the next level, and Ram Prasad’s cinematography turned the film visually appealing. Thammiraju’s editing is good, and the production values are high standards.
In conclusion, the film have been more impactful with a fine-tuned script and interesting twists and turns. The film’s climax is surprising, but the predictable trope in the second half restricted the film’s overall impact. With some improvements, this film could have been on a whole new level.
Rating: 3/5
Bottom-line: A Mass Entertainer With Impactful Climax
