From the past few days, it is being reported in media that popular Bengali, as well as Hindi actress Nandita Das, has been signed up to play a key role in Rana Daggubati’s upcoming film Virata Parvam.
According to the sources, Nandita Das has joined the sets and is taking part in the shoot from the last couple of days. It is also being heard that she didn’t replace Tabu but is playing a different role. That means, Tabu is still a part of the film but is yet to take part in the shoot.
The actress too confirmed the same saying, “Too much speculation! I am doing the film for the script, the director’s vision and the role. Had no idea who I was replacing and how does it matter! In Hyderabad, starting to shoot. Nervous about speaking Telugu! Wish me luck pls!”
Virata Parvam is a story set in Naxal background and takes place in the year 1992 in the rural Telangana. Sai Pallavi is playing the female lead in this film. Venu Udugula, who made his debut with Needi Nadi Oke Katha, is helming this movie.
