What makes it even more special is its unique setting, as the entire film was shot in the breathtaking locales of Meghalaya, giving Telugu cinema a fresh visual palette. Released On October 9 In Cinemas.
Plot:
The story revolves around two business tycoons locked in a fierce battle to win a prestigious project. One of them believes the key to victory lies in winning over an influential elderly man, and his plan centers around a mysterious box containing an object lost since the Independence era. To retrieve this box, the ruthless gangster John (Upendra Limaye) is hired.
Parallelly, in Meghalaya, the quirky Sattipandu aka Satyapandu (Vishnu Oi) is busy with his wedding preparations with Mary (Samriddhi Aryal) along with his friend Sandeep (Akshay Lagusani). When the hunt for the mysterious box collides with Sattipandu’s wedding track, it triggers a chain of hilarious and thrilling events involving the police, goons, and unexpected twists. The narrative keeps its momentum high with its box hunt and rescue drama.
Performances:
The performances are undoubtedly the biggest strength of the film and each actor brings something distinct to the table. Akshay Lagusani makes a highly impressive debut as Sandeep. He is energetic, natural, and confident, not just in his acting but also shines with his dancing skills, marking a promising arrival.
Vishnu Oi is an absolute entertainer as Sattipandu. His quirky mannerisms, unique speech pattern, and impeccable comic timing generate genuine laughter and make him the soul of the film. Upendra Limaye is terrific as the menacing gangster John. He brings experience and gravitas, making the threat feel real while perfectly fitting into the comic space.
The female leads, Vismaya Sri and Malvi Malhotra, are convincing and add charm to the proceedings. Veteran actors Raja Ravindra and Shubhalekha Sudhakar provide the much needed emotional anchor and stability to the narrative with their seasoned presence.

Analysis:
Director Guni is appreciable for handling such Quirky entertainer in an interesting manner. the first half of ‘Ba Ba Black Sheep’ sets up the world brilliantly, introducing the high stakes business rivalry and the light hearted Meghalaya wedding track in parallel. The comedy is organic and the character introductions are well handled. The second half picks up pace as the mystery of the box deepens and all characters converge, leading to a series of thrilling and comic situations. The twists are intriguing and the interval and climax portions are handled smartly, with the final twist neatly opening up a scope for a sequel.
On the technical front, director Guni Manchikanti deserves full credit for maintaining a fine balance between crime, comedy and emotion without letting any one genre overpower the other. Cinematographer Ajay Abraham George captures Meghalaya in all its glory, making it a character in itself and giving the film a visually rich experience. Music by Electronic Kili and Anand is a major asset, with tracks like Samayame Indrajaalam, Ve Vela and Aaja Meri Jaan elevating the entertainment quotient, while the background score boosts the thrill effectively.
