Story:
Chanchala IAS (Anushka) an accused in a murder case is taken for special investigation by CBI. Strange things begin to happen at the place where the investigation is going on. Chanchala (Anushka) acts weirdly and is finally revealed that Bhaagamathie has taken control of her. Who is Bhaagamathi and what does she want? What about the case that Chanchala (Anushka) is involved in? How it all ends is the basic story?
Performances:
Anushka is the foundation on which the entire film rests. She has to pull off a sensational act for the movie to work and she delivers the goods. The actress begins her work slowly, but once we enter the Bhaagamathi Adda, she shows the powerhouse talent. Starting from interval until the end, there are continues scenes which are entirely depending on her acting, and she packs in a punch.
Unni Mukundan has a short role, but it is impactful. He portrays a sincere guy working for people with ease. He represents the positive element in the movie which is needed to develop a strong emotional anchor. The actor does it efficiently.
Playing a versatile character is another character actor Jayaram. At the end of the movie, we know that he is a perfect fit for the role. Even small gestures that he makes register to the audience.
Asha Sharath and Murali Sharma are right in their roles. They add intensity to the proceedings. And finally, Dhanraj and Prabhas Sreenu along with Vidyulleka Raman bring the much-needed laughs into the narrative.

Slight Drag In First Half
Analysis:
The storyline of the movie is simple in the end. There is no complication and its routine, but the important thing here is one is engaged until the end and is curious to know what happens next. That is where director G Ashok has succeeded.
The suspense is correctly built in the first half with a terrific interval bang. The second half starts on a positive note and without wasting time gets to the crux of the plot. The tightly knit screenplay is the winning aspect of the thriller along with an excellent supporting cast and crew. The climax turns predictable, but the job is done by that point.
Music director SS Thaman is becoming a specialist when it comes to the horror genre. He is doing them repeatedly and yet is managing to maintain the same intrigue with his background score. It is a superlative effort. The cinematography by Madhie is fantastic. Editing is neat. The production values of UV Creations are amazing. They deserve kudos for backing a female-oriented movie without any compromise on quality.
