STORY :
Hari (Naga Shourya) loves being involved in fights since as a kid. Hari’s father Naresh sends him to ‘Tiruppuram’, a place at Andhra – Tamil Nadu border where Telugu and Tamil people are living as archrivals. Hari joins engineering college there and falls for Karthika (Rashmika Mandana). In a misunderstanding, Tamil students at college believe Hari as a Tamilian and join him to their group. A twist in tale arises towards the interval when Hari knows that Karthika is the daughter of one of the group’s headman. To make his love success Hari takes up the challenge of uniting both groups. How he did it forms the rest of the story.
PERFORMANCES :
Shourya looked handsome in the film. His Characterisation aptly suited his age and he carried it with ease. He impresses with his comic timing and looks natural in both romantic and fun-filled scenes. Heroine Rashmika made a commendable debut in Telugu. She looks cute and performed well. Among another bunch of comedians and character artists, Sathya in the first half and Vennela Kishore in second half steal the show providing ample entertainment with their comic act.
Naresh, Pragathi are decent as Shourya’s parents. Posani Krishna Murali as a lecturer, Raghu Babu as principal, Praveen as an auto driver, Viva Harsha, Sudarshan and the three village heads are adequate and added value to the film with their performances.

ANALYSIS :
Though we have seen many films with the similar plot of a feud between two groups or families in a village and several years later Boy of one group loves Girl from opposite group and finally how they make their Love success reuniting their families or groups. ‘Chalo’ too follows the same template but here Director Venky Kudumula made sure that the entire film has been handled in an entertaining manner and he succeeded in doing so. The entire first half is packed with fun-filled scenes at regular intervals. The film takes a turn during the interval with a neatly handled twist.
Second half starts on a dull note with the film entering into the main plot which seems predictable. With the entry of Vennela Kishore, the film gets back on track. Though Director tried the climax differently, with all the seriousness and rivalry that was shown between the groups from the beginning made the ending looks silly.
Sai Sriram’s cinematography is good with colorful visuals. Mahathi Sagar has given very good Music, along with chartbuster ‘Choosi Chudangane’, he backed the film with fine background score too. Dialogues penned by Director Venky Kudumula are good and major highlights of the film, especially the comedy punches he wrote surely evokes laughter. Production values by ‘Ira Creations’ are excellent and need a special mention for maintaining quality throughout the film.
Bottom-Line: Fun-Filled Entertainer
