“Crazy Kalyanam Is a Good Family Entertainer and the Right Film for Audiences to Watch This Dasara” – Producer Boosam Jagan Mohan Reddy
The film “Crazy Kalyanam” stars VK Naresh, Anupama Parameswaran, Tharun Bhascker and Akhil Uddemari, known for “Raju Weds Rambai,” in key roles. The film is being produced by passionate producer Boosam Jagan Mohan Reddy as Production No. 2 under the Arrow Cinemas banner and is directed by Badrappa Gajula.
“Crazy Kalyanam” is arriving in theatres worldwide on October 16 for the Dasara festival. In a recent interview, producer Boosam Jagan Mohan Reddy shared the highlights of the film.
– We made “Crazy Kalyanam” with a good family entertainer story. We initially planned to release our film on October 30. However, when Venkatesh garu’s “Aadarsha Kutumbam” was postponed, everyone on our team suggested that we release our film during the festival. Since our film is also a good family entertainer, we felt it would be suitable for a festive release. So, we are bringing it to theatres on October 16.
– We have complete confidence in our film’s content. Everyone who listened to this script liked it. Anupama, Naresh garu, Tharun Bhascker and Akhil all said that the story was very good. Our confidence in the script, along with their response, made us even more confident. Since the film is releasing on October 16, Anupama, Naresh garu, Tharun Bhascker and every other actor are supporting us with the remaining shoot. They all have strong confidence in the film. We will complete the remaining work and bring it to theatres.
– I am in the advertising business. I work on government advertisements, documentaries and advertisements for other companies. Director Badrappa has been associated with me for many years. I like the film industry, and he is also passionate about cinema. We used to discuss stories, and when Badrappa narrated this story to me, I felt it was very good and decided to produce it as a film. My experience in ad filmmaking has been very useful in handling responsibilities as a producer. This is my second film as a producer.
– This film is set against a pure Telangana backdrop, but it deals with universal emotions. The Telangana dialect used in our film is not so typical that audiences in Andhra Pradesh would find it difficult to understand. It will be easy for all Telugu audiences to understand, and everyone will like it.
– Although this is Badrappa Gajula’s first film as a director, he has worked on ad films. I know his talent. Moreover, the story was very good, so I produced the film without any hesitation. We worked on this film for three years and put our hearts into it. The satellite, OTT and music rights of our film have already been sold. We completed the film within the planned budget. All our actors are supporting the promotions very well.
– Dasara is a very big festival in Telangana. Audiences watch films even when several movies are released during this festival. Although we initially received fewer theatres, we believe that the number of screens will increase through word of mouth and positive talk. We are completely confident about the content and the film’s success.
– This is a story that takes place in every village and every household. Along with entertainment, the film also has good emotions. After watching it, audiences will walk out of the theatre with a good feeling. Just as we experience a particular feeling after watching films like “Bommarillu,” audiences will have a similar experience after watching our film.
– Anupama will impress audiences with her performance in our film. She learned the Telangana dialect and participated in workshops. Naresh garu also learned the dialect and acted very well. As soon as I heard this story, I did not think of any heroine other than Anupama. I also felt that no one other than Naresh garu could play his character. You will feel the same after watching the film. Tharun Bhascker made his own improvisations in many scenes. After this film, he will become very busy as an actor.
– The songs will be a major attraction of our film. Suresh Bobbili has composed beautiful music. Dr. Gorati Venkanna wrote three songs, Kasarla Shyam wrote two songs, and Mittapalli Surender wrote one song. There are five songs and two bit songs in total. We shot our film entirely in villages around Medak and in Medak town. We filmed the movie 100 per cent in real locations.
– Bunny Vas garu and Suresh Productions watched our film and liked it immensely. Since they liked our movie so much, Bunny Vas garu, Suresh Productions and Asian Cinemas are joining hands to release it. Our film is releasing in approximately 200 theatres. They have said that the number of theatres can be increased depending on the audience response. With the support we receive from audiences, we want to take our film to Tamil- and Malayalam-speaking audiences as well.
