Super Star Rajinikanth teamed up with director AR Murugadoss for the first time for the prestigious project Darbar. Rajinikanth plays a powerful cop in the movie. After releasing the first single of the movie online, the makers celebrate the audio album today. A grand audio launch event took place today in Chennai city. Amidst fans and movie’s cast and crew, the makers launched the audio album in style.
During the Darbar event, the cinematographer Santosh Sivan called Rajinikanth a saint. The ace cinematographer heaped praises on the superstar’s fitness levels. The event witnessed a lot of film personalities as attendance. Director Shankar, Raghava Lawrence also graced the occasion.
Stunt directors Ram-Laxman promised the fans that the introduction fight sequence will be an epic treat for fans and also added that Thalaivar has not used a stunt double at all for the fights.
Raghava Lawrence, in his speech, said, Superstar Rajinikanth is kind-hearted that he praised all politicians but all are now criticizing him for his political entry. “Superstar Rajinikanth is not speaking politics/other topics for publicity because the name Rajinikanth itself enough for publicity,” he said.
Anirudh thanked Murugadoss for giving him a big film like Kaththi at a time when he was doing small budget/mid-budget films. He recollected his association with the star director and used the stage to extend his gratitude. Talking about composing the music for Superstar Rajinikanth’s film for the second time, Anirudh says it as a magical moment. The young composer said that Annamalai is his first-ever movie-watching experience of Rajinikanth in the theater. On this note, he also thanks Dhanush for launching him in the industry.
After arriving at the event, AR Murugadoss said he doesn’t want to be stage and sit with fans in the gallery as he is a senior Superstar fan.
While talking at the Darbar event, Superstar Rajinikanth admits that he didn’t want to be seen in younger roles since Lingaa. But after it happened in Petta successfully, AR Murugadoss is said to have approached the Superstar within a week’s time and that’s how Darbar happened. “Don’t celebrate my birthday in a lavish manner. As usual, I will be out of town on 12th December. Consider this audio launch event as my birthday celebration. This is a special birthday for me as I enter 70,” said Rajinikanth in his speech.
