Since August 1st Film shootings in Tollywood comes to a halt to discuss the ongoing issues of OTT, ticket prices, and workers’ daily wage rates. As per the latest developments, the film chamber has taken the decision to allow the shootings from September 1st. To ease the burden on Producers who are invested in high stakes and in the middle of shoots, they can apply to the film chamber and attain special permissions to resume shootings from 25th August.
One of the main issues, VPF fee has been resolved, and there wouldn’t be any VPF charges from September 2nd. Exhibitors who run theatres will bear VPF charges. Also, the ticket rates and prices for food and beverages will be made affordable. For big-budget films, there would be slab-based rates and the hike would be minimal. Other key issues are also expected to resolve soon.
