STORY :
A cop helps a Brahmin boy Dhuvvada Jagannadham (Allu Arjun) become DJ (Allu Arjun) and eliminate crime in society. Royyala Naidu (Rao Ramesh) is the biggest criminal in town but always away from attention and he wants to expand his empire by marrying his son to the daughter of Home Minister. What happens when Jagannadham meets the Pooja (Pooja Hegde), daughter of Home Minister and how DJ finds and eliminates Roayyala Naidu is the basic story of the film.
PERFORMANCES :
Allu Arjun is in top notch form as Dhuvvada Jagannadham. He nails the Brahmin accent and delivers the punches effortlessly. The body language and get up everything is spot-on. In the second role as DJ, he shows great variation as cool and stylish fighter, do-gooder. He is terrific in dances, as usual, and is fantastic in action sequences.
Pooja Hegde is sensational. She is at her glamorous best in the movie providing major oomph factor. She sets the screen on fire with here mere appearance that one hardly gets time to look for acting.
Rao Ramesh is amazing as Royyala Naidu. It is how he delivers the dialogues that create punch and make the whole scene interesting. Right from the introduction to the very end, he holds the audience attention whenever he is onscreen.
The rest of the cast and crew which comprises of known names and recognizable faces all do a good job with whatever they get. Subbaraju stands out among this crowd.

ANALYSIS :
Harish Shankar is known to package a routine entertainer with so much fun that it is usually impossible not to like it. Most his films fall into the same category barring, and DJ is no different. The element of surprise here is Allu Arjun doing the Brahmin role and nailing it.
There is, like all Harish Shankar films, enough comedy in the movie to keep the audience enjoying. The dialogues are good, and both Allu Arjun and Rao Ramesh help big time on this score. The first half of the movie is a perfect package with all the entertainment and action coming in right places and doses. The second half in comparison is little dull, but once again the different angle tried in the pre-climax and climax work for the movie. The ending is unexpected and thrilling with a healthy dose of comic touch. Overall, Dhuvvada Jagannadham is a well made commercial entertainer that makes even routine watchable.
Music by Devi Sri Prasad is good, and so is the background score that helps increase the impact of action and emotional scenes. The cinematography by Ayananka Bose is excellent. Editing is smooth. This is the 25th film from Producer Dil Raju. Producers Raju ajd Sirish mainyained fabulous Production values through out the film.
