PERFORMANCES :

Sumanth Ashwin is okay in the role of Gopalam. He looks confident and showed maturity in his performance.  He should have worked more on his dubbing and slang.

Among the three girls Manasa Himavarsha impresses with her looks and performance. Manali Rathod is okay as innocent Ammulu. Aneesha Ambrose has major role and she did good on her part.

Krishna Bhagawan, Krishnudu and few other new faces are adequate in their roles.

POSITIVES :

Vamsy’s Trade Mark Godavari Nativity

Few Comedy Scenes

Cinematography

Music

NEGATIVES :

Lack of Emotional Depth in main character

Screenplay

ANALYSIS :

Vamsy’s ‘Ladies Tailor’ is a cult film in comedies. He followed the same pattern for this sequel too. Plot is very similar to the original. Vamsy’s knack for typical Godavari people characterizations made this film work for some extent. We feel that this Veteran director is back on his track during the initial part of the film. But, things went awry as the film proceeds with over the top scenes and bad screenplay. Many scenes were dragged in the name of comedy. Vamsy’s old school comedy has failed to evoke laughs. However we can see his trade mark shots and directorial touch here and there.

Technical aspects are very good in the film. Camerawork by Nagesh Bannel is one of the highlights. He beautifully captured the Godavari, Papikondalu, Greenary. Mani Sharma has given very good music for the film and his background music is equally good. Songs were shot creatively on the banks of river Godavari. Producer Madhura Sreedhar maintained good Production values throughout the film. Film is rich in visuals capturing picturesque Godavari locales.

Bottom-Line : Old Fashioned Tailor

Rating : 2.75 / 5
