Bollywood Singer Kanika Kapoor has announced that she is tested positive for COVID19 and she is taking required medication in the isolation ward at Lucknow’s King George’s Medical University (KGMU) hospital. Kanika Kapoor is the first Indian celebrity who has become the victim of the coronavirus and recently came back to India after attending a music concert in London.
Singer Kanika Kapoor started her music journey as a singer in 2012 and the “Baby Doll” song from Ragini MMS 2 has brought her overnight stardom. She has lent her voice to the majority of the star hero movies in Bollywood and gained huge popularity in a very short span of time. Kanika Kapoor shared with her Instagram that she is tested positive for COVID19 and posted an entire story with her followers as
“For the past 4 days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for Covid-19. My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward. Contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway as well. I was scanned at the airport as per normal procedure 10days ago when I came back home, the symptoms have developed only 4 days ago. At this stage, I would like to urge you all to practice self-isolation and get tested if you have the signs. I am feeling ok, like a normal flu and a mild fever, however, we need to be sensible citizens at this time and think of all around us.
