Story :
Swapna (Tapsee) is struggling to recover from her past trauma. But she is not able to do it. After an unfortunate event, a chance meeting changes her life forever. When things were looking rosy, she gets the shock of her life. Whom did Swapna (Tapsee) meet and what happened afterward is the basic storyline of the movie.
Performances:
Tapsee is on a roll with back to back fantastic career best acts. After Manmarziyan, and Badla the actress hits another high point with Game Over and creates a hat-trick high with her performances.
In Game Over, Tapsee has got a substantial role. It is a character that offers her to showcase various gamut of emotions in circumstances that are sure to be profoundly affecting personally emotionally resonating. The sequence in the Coffee day, for example, perfectly showcases how subtly she conveys the pain the character is going through. The first half of the movie is filled with such sequences, and therefore, in comparison, the second half act looks much more comfortable as the challenge, there is a physical expression of emotions.
It is these various layers to the character and Tapsee, a one-woman show with multiple variations in it that makes Game Over a stunning effort. It is a once in a lifetime role that will make her proud.
The rest of the film has very fewer characters. Vinodini and Anish Kuruvilla, are adequate in their parts. The former has a meatier role, and she gives it her best.

Analysis:
Director Ashwin Saravanan deserves all the praise for coming up with a unique narrative that is never seen before. The story entirely revolves on the principal female character. The director then infuses the narrative with many layers keeping the protagonist at the center of everything.
The first half of the movie, slowly build various emotions into the narrative through the lead protagonist. It all has a common link that harks to the atrocities on females. The second half twist is more generic, but even that ties well with women empowering motif that is on display throughout.
While the narrative might feel disjointed initially, the second half brings it all together. A cohesiveness of thoughts is felt. The mystery of tattoo too is well integrated into the narrative without deviating too much from the core point. In the end, the impact is a powerful one, and Game Over is a must watch for its uniquely layered narrative. Watch it to get the feeling of a unique viewing experience.
The background score by Ron Ethan Yohann is sensational. The tense moments are elevated further by his powerful and suspenseful score that is a major highlight. The cinematography by A Vasanth is neat and gives the movie a slick look. The writing is to the point and precise. The production values of Y Not Studios and Reliance Entertainments are appropriate to the concept, and the producer S Sashikanth, co-producer Chakravarthy Ramachandra must be appreciated for backing a unique concept-oriented project with an uncompromised vision.
