Performances:

Anushka Shetty shines in the lead role, bringing intensity and conviction to her character. She pulled of action sequences ferociously with her commendable body language. Vikram Prabhu makes an okayish debut in Tollywood. He doesn’t seem fit for his role. The supporting cast, including Jagapathi Babu and Chaitanya Rao, adds color and depth to the film. Chaitanya Rao leaves an impact with his menacing act. The other villains, including Ravindra Vijay and John Vijay, are adequate. Thanmayee Adi as Padmini Patnaik leaves an imprerssion with her very good screen presence. She also worked as Assistant Director for Krish.

Analysis:

GHAATI is a revenge drama that tells the story of Sheelavathi, a woman who seeks revenge against the people who destroyed her livelihood, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. With its action-packed sequences and revenge theme, the film is sure to appeal to fans of the genre. Though the film’s narrative is predictable at times, Krish made sure that the screenplay is engaging. Despite its minor flaws, the film has some interesting moments, particularly in the action sequences. The film’s technical aspects, including cinematography and music, are well handled, but the editing could have been sharper. Especially Vidya Sagar Nagavelli’s music and BGM stands out enhancing the proceedings.

Ghaati is a revenge drama that works in major parts. Anushka Shetty brings intensity to her role, and Vikram Prabhu makes a respectable debut. However, the film’s intensity set in a unique backdrop made it an engaging watch with well concieved action parts. Production values deserve special mention. The film is worth watching for fans of the genre, particularly those who enjoy action packed sequences and revenge dramas.
