Plot
The plot of Good Bad Ugly is straightforward and predictable, with no major twists or surprises. The story follows AK’s journey as he tries to balance his life as a don and a family man. While the film has its moments, the narrative is often repetitive and lacks emotional depth. The director relies heavily on slow-motion shots and hero elevation sequences, which, while visually impressive, fail to add substance to the story.
Performances
Ajith delivers a stellar performance as Don AK, impressing his fans with his style and swag. His vintage charm and stylish screen presence dominate the frame, and director Adhik Ravichandran deserves credit for bringing back this fan-favorite version of the star.
Trisha makes a brief appearance but looks graceful, adding charm to her scenes. Her styling is a mixed bag, but she brings a touch of elegance to the film. Arjun Das, the antagonist, puts in a sincere effort and tries to make the character interesting. While the impact is limited, he adds to the overall tension and suspense of the film. Rest of the cast are okay in their roles.

Good Bad Ugly is a film that works only in bits and pieces, largely riding on Ajith’s screen presence. While the film has its moments, it lacks substance and emotional depth. The director’s focus on style and hero elevations comes at the expense of the story and characters. Overall, Good Bad Ugly is a modest watch for fans of Ajith Kumar, but it falls short as a solid gangster drama. The film’s weak plot, lack of emotional weight, and overemphasis on style make it a passable film at best. While Ajith’s performance is stellar, it’s not enough to save the film from its overall lackluster experience.
The film’s technical aspects are a mixed bag. Adhik Ravichandran’s direction is stylish, but the screenplay is weak. Abinandhan Ramanujam’s cinematography is polished, but GV Prakash Kumar’s music is underwhelming. The editing is alright, but the film could have benefited from tighter editing to remove some of the repetitive scenes. Production values by Mythri Movie Makers are grand.
