Dulquer Salmaan Launched Gripping Teaser Of Anupama Parameswaran, Darshana Rajendran, Sangitha, Praveen Kandregula, Vijay Donkada, Ananda Media’s Paradha
Renowned for his highly praised debut film Cinema Bandi, which earned accolades for its unique storytelling and fresh perspective, director Praveen Kandregula is now gearing up for his second venture, Paradha. The film is backed by the celebrated duo Raj and DK, known for the Family Man series. Paradha marks the grand debut of Ananda Media, with production by Vijay Donkada, alongside Sreenivasulu PV and Sridhar Makkuva. The movie features a stellar cast, including the immensely talented Anupama Parameswaran, versatile Darshana Rajendran, and veteran actress Sangitha. The first look poster and concept video received an overwhelming response, and today, Dulquer Salmaan launched the film’s teaser.
The teaser opens with a voiceover introducing the protagonist, Subbu, played by Anupama Parameswaran. According to the narrator, Subbu travels a long distance and pays a staggering 70 lakhs to end her life. We then see Subbu, along with two other central characters portrayed by Darshana Rajendran and Sangitha, embarking on an adventurous trip. However, Subbu harbors her own secret intentions for the journey.
As the teaser progresses, it reveals the village’s old customs, traditions, and superstitions, including women covering their faces and the chilling practice of Sati. Near the end, Anupama Parameswaran’s face is revealed, only for her to quickly cover it with a paradha, leaving a sense of mystery and anticipation.

Like his first movie, Cinema Bandi, Paradha is another unique attempt from director Praveen Kandregula. The teaser, which offers a glimpse into the story, impresses with its concept, gripping narrative, and top-notch production and technical standards.
Anupama Parameswaran is remarkable in the role of a village belle, and she fits the character perfectly. The presence of Darshana Rajendran and Sangitha adds great value to the film.
The visuals, captured by Mridul Sujit Sen, are spectacular, beautifully showcasing the locales of Himachal Pradesh and the village settings. Gopi Sundar’s background score further enhances the experience, while Dharmendra Kakarala’s editing keeps the pace tight. The lavish production design by Ananda Media is evident throughout.
