The 65th Filmfare Awards event was celebrated at Guwahati stadium and it is a star-studded function with the majority of the Bollywood taking part in the biggest celebrations of the year. The Oscars rejected Hindi film Gully Boy has dominated the Filmfare Awards 2020 by winning 13 awards in different categories and the film has created a new record in the history of the popular awards for winning more awards for a single movie.
Hindi film Gully Boy is directed by Zoya Akthar and it stars Ranveer Singh, Ali Bhatt in the lead roles. Starting with the best film for Gully Boy to the best director for Zoya Akthar to best male actor to Ranveer Singh to best female actress Alia Bhatt, best supporting male actor, female actress to Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Amruta Subhash respectively. Other categories Gully Boy Film won Filmfare Awards for best screenplay, best dialogues, production design, cinematography, music, lyrics, background score making a total of 13 awards in total for the film. Even The Oscars rejected, Hindi film Gully Boy has dominated the Filmfare.
